Nice Pedal for the Money!

Behringer gets a lot of unsubstantiated guff for building inexpensive gear. I happen to own a LOT of Behringer gear and have put together quite a substantial sound package at 1/4 the price of more "upscale" gear. The CS100 Compressor Sustainer is no different, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I don't believe that there is another company out there that has the price/performance ratio that Behringer does and this $25 pedal proves just that!Read full review...

It doesn't do anything

After testing different settings on this pedal, I didn't notice any change on my guitar sound. All strings remain at the same volume, balanced the same way with or without the effect. The pedal produces a lot of noise, creating the illusion that the pedal is doing something but in reality it is only extra noise. No significant change of tone to be noticeable.Read full review...

Best Budget Compressor on the Market

First, let's get beyond the "all plastic pedals are cheap" bugaboo: Behringer uses thick, tough, high impact, molded plastic housings for their pedals and I've never been bone-headed enough to horse-stomp so hard on one as to break or even mar it. They're tough. If you somehow manage to break one - guess what? They're inexpensive enough you can just buy another.
.
With that out of the way, let's talk electronics: I own their 7 band eq, their compressor/sustain, the overdrive/distortion box and their digital delay and all I can say is here's where your money does it's work - the compressor especially is one of the best you can buy and all of their products are full bypass and next to silent under use with the correct amperage 9v power supply. Controls pots and switches are top quality and the jacks snap in with good, solid clicks.
.
Whether or not you're on a budget, you owe it to yourself to try out some of their awesome pedals. I especially like the OD300. It's a solid performer with sweet tones that suit a thousand performing styles.

Good, inexpensive pedal that does what it claims.

Overall, this is well made and works just as advertised. The only minor down sides I’ve found are the small control knobs (common on most pedals) and the very difficult battery replacement. You have to take off the pedal pivot to get at the battery. So far, it is lasting a long time but it would be a better product with a simpler battery cover. I still recommend this to anyone that needs it. Much less expensive than many others that do no more.Read full review...

Decent compression for the money

I wanted something to give me that old school squash and sustain after my old Boss CS3 died, but didn't want to spend a hundred dollars to replace it, since I don't use that sound often. This pedal provides. It does color the sound a little bit, but so did the Boss. I suspect this is a clone of the CS3 circuit. The housing isn't as durable but it's in a protected place on my pedal board. Read full review...

Great bang for your buck

Behringer have produced a line of effect pedals that are both affordable and sound good.
These are good pedals for players, who are new to playing guitar, to create their sound and not
break the bank. Seasoned players who use effect pedals sparingly will also find Behringer pedals use full when performing.Read full review...

Good as Boss,Almost

Responsive controls. Does all a compressor effect unit should. Body is plastic not metal , so dont stomp too hard. Definitely has a shorter life span on years of use and dont drop it whatever you do. Takes a little more effort to install or replace the battery. Other than that ,a bargain for the money.Read full review...

Behringer CS400.

The Behringer CS400 is a good product and have never had a failure of any function. It performs as a Compressor should, and the tone of the product is commendable.
