THE LITTLE SPEAKER THAT COULD ! .. THE HERO SPEAKER , You will always hear these !

Aim these little boogers right in you face and you will always hear yourself !
I have 4 of these for stage monitors . They really work great !
one for bass vocals , one for key vocals , one for me guitar vocals and yes one for the drummer ! .. In a medium 200 seater room to a smaller 100 seater room everyone on stage is happy .
I have even used mine on stage outside in front of 1000 people plus and could hear all night no prob , because it is up in your face !
they are good , loud . clear and with the 3 band fixed shelving EQ you can eliminate feedback . controls on the face are perfectly located for quick instant adjustments .
..
For $200 bucks retail they are a little pricey compared to a lot of the low budget bigger powered speakers out today but .... they really work better and they are small , light , powerful , durable and easy to move around .
..
I bought my first one from my bud at the pawn shop for 50 bucks and instantly fell in love .
I been searching for a while now for another killer deal but no go .
I finally broke down and bought 3 refurbished ones for $140 each .
..
THE SUPER HERO SPEAKER !
Ok long story short ..
We set up at a gig and some numbskull at the club wired the house 220 a/c wrong .. we smoked the mixer , EQ and cross over .
we had to cancel the gig .. the place was packed . the club owner was pissed but we couldn't continue . well not as usual anyway .
...
My friend had a farm house down the road a few miles .. so we packed up everything and the entire bar followed us to his place . because the owner became a jerk or we would have just hung out at his club .
Anyway .. we setup drums , bass , guitar . and the only powered speaker I owned at the time .
One single BEHRINGER EUROLIVE B205D 150-Watt PA/Monitor .
One channel for my vocals and one channel for my harmonica player .
We put on one hell of a show outside for about 150 people .
and those people are still talking about that show today .
remember when ?
Thanks for listening .

OK, a little disappointing

This is a decent mid-level monitoring system. I really expected more clarity and punch from a unit claiming 150 watts, but it works as a supplement to our stage sidefill monitors. I use it with only my microphone connected-an SM58-and adding depth with the bass eq control only causes low feedback. The midrange control must be operated at a low level, or the unit will feedback in the midranges as well. I attempted to use the contraption intended to mount the unit to my mic stand, but it was so precarious that I decided to use a separate stand instead. It serves the purpose that I bought it for, but not without some disappointment.Read full review...

Excellent product.

A friend recommended I check this out as I sing with a classic rock band and as a vocalist could never hear myself -- a huge problem.

This unit solved the issue. With a few minor adjustments, the sound on the monitor came through loud and clear and I got a good idea on how I sounded.

Included instructions are clear and easy to follow. The PA is lightweight and self contained. You do need to connect to the output of your board to use the way I did but you can just as easily choose to plug your mic in and sing in the comfort of your living room.

I would definitely recommend this.

Compact Yet Actually Powerful and Functional

I picked up the B205D to act as a small personal monitor while hosting karaoke so I wasn't expecting much. If sound came out of it, I would have been happy. Luckily, sound comes out of it. In fact, a surprising amount of sound comes out of this little unit. So much sound, in fact, that I've used it as a supplemental speaker for larger events such as weddings. I like the input and daisy-chain flexibility, I like that it has a basic EQ, I like that it has a mic-stand mounting socket...I especially like that it's compact enough to fit in an equipment bag. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this unit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small monitor or for small-space portable sound.Read full review...

Perfect Personal Monitor

I purchased this powered speaker to act of a floor monitor for my Acoustic Duo. My setup is using the Bose L1 System, which advocates no feedback and placing the speaker behind you. Thus eliminating the need for a monitor. Unfortunately, this is not the case and hearing each other was becoming a major problem. The small lightweight speaker provides all of the needed power and no feedback. Great system and value. Recommend +++Read full review...

Portable and lightweight but does the job

This powered speaker is compact and lightweight. I use it with my baritone guitar, which is tuned 4 half steps lower than a standard guitar. This powered speaker has surprisingly good bass for a unit this small. I use it for smaller gatherings and rooms. It can also be used as a stage monitor. It can even be mounted on a microphone stand. Great Little Box

The Behringer B205D is a great powered monitor. I use this for my acoustic gigs and it gives me a solid sound to help hear the mix. I have also used it a bunch as a practice PA to use my acoustic and loop pedal without breaking out a separate amp or the whole PA. Great sound for it's size!Read full review...

Using the powered monitor to plug into it a mic and guitar.

When I plug my mic and my guitar into the Eurolive, it does well, but when I run a balanced cord from the "thru" jack to the main PA I seem to get a buz. If I keep it on very low volume, it's better. I rate a 4 star because it is so handy and easy to use. It does have it's limitations and as long as you're careful to not over-drive it, it does quite well.Read full review...

Great monitor for performers (and more)

Great little speaker for live monitoring in performance. Can be tuned for individual instruments so sound is exactly what is needed for the performer. Compact package, good sound quality. Other than playing around with using it as a PA, have not had any experience with using as a PA but it seems quite capable to be used as a portable PA for small areas/rooms. Read full review...

Surprisng Sound for Small Size

I use two of these speaker as a small PA in a small rehearsal room. There's virtually no noise from the units themselves and they have plenty of power. We put a cello through one to see if it could handle the lowest C and there was very little drop off. They are surprisingly rich sounding for small speakers. Read full review...
