Great Performance However Wish it was better build

Definite improvement for any Guitar, provides a decisive cut through edge on power guitar
The 400, 800 and 1.6K centers are better better suited than the usual 240, 500, and 1k frequency centers usually found in other pedals EQ's and plenty of clean gain if you need some additional pre-amp gain as well. Over all Good Performance.
Two things I don't like No Center Unity Detent for any setting and the really cheap plastic housing The pedal wont stand up on the road for long. Not a Stomp box in the true sense of durability.
The plastic housing is really thin, but for home and studio it's fine.
Half the price of an MXR which means if you are multi voicing your pedal board you can easliy afford two units for that its a Gem.

Cheap preamp under any setting, except when turned off. Does not deserve Behringher brand name, except for price.

If you are a serious musician or planning any recording, the EQ700 noisy preamp is unnacceptable, under AC or battery. It is only ok to improve live sound balance from a passive guitar pickup, for instance, if you turn it OFF when not playing.

Changing the battery under the spring loaded plastic pedal is a scary experience. I can't find a trace of german engineering into this pedal design... it sounds and feels like a cheap chinese copycat. If I had paid full price in a music store, It is a case for refund. So far,it works fine despite the background noise which spoils the otherwise honest performance I'm used to with other Behringer products.

Great Little Equalizer

Quiet, dynamic range of adjustment, power use efficient, ruggedly built, great price. I own 2 now. I use them for putting recording curve characteristics on the output of guitar modifiers, primarily the distortion, and noise roll-off at the end of a chain of pedals. I also use them to do quick frequency response adjustments manually before programming my guitar processors equalizer(s) to match the desired response results obtained with the Behringer.Read full review...

Affordable and useful

Bought this equalizer as an experiment to use between my behringer mini mixer and powered monitors. Monitors have no tone control, just volume and sounded a bit harsh in the mid frequencies.

Was able to dial in a nice warm tone using this equalizer. No noise. No rack mounted eq to haul around. It was a win win.

Perfect for sweetening up a small PA system.

Will also use at some point on guitar and electric piano.

Although the case is plastic and not metal, the device seems fairly solidly constructed.

Have been using with a 9v battery with no issues.

Would recommend this product. Very satisfied.

YES "BEHRINGER EQ 700" is worth it!

The pedal feels like it's a more expensive brand, but your wallet doesn't feel that way. I'd compare it to finding out that the girl of your dream's turned out to be the "cheap-date" after all. Instead of "ms. snooty-pants" you've been chasing after for all these year's. Great Pedal! Definately a good addition to my board. Try it out and see she fits on yours? Totally a product i'd reccomend! ✌Rock On!Read full review...

Great Cheap EQ Pedal

Pros: It's very inexpensive, It works great. I wanted something to shape sound better than the very basic 3-band EQ on my bass combo amp and it does the job well. It's very easy to hear what part of the frequency you're adjusting and now I find it easier to dial in tones.
Cons: It is a little plastic-y in parts that I don't like: The cover hinges are plastic and then the push-pins to remove the cover are plastic. After a lot of use it seems that one of these things could break and you'd be stuck with having to keep your cover on with tape, though at a price of only $23 it's very easy just to buy a new one. Did not come with AC adapter, that has to be bought separately.

So good bought twice?????

I originally bought this EQ, for my first pedal board. I gave that setup to my son. So now rebuilding my gear. Works great, and shipment was in just 3days. That's to Fargo, North Dakota!!! Now just how could this order get any better? Well Sweetwater also included a bag of mints & fireball candy. So yes this was a very sweet deal!!!! Thanks to everyone who worked to complete this order. Time now to arrange some EQ settings.Read full review...

Good EQ for cheap money

This is a nice EQ pedal. It worked just fine and was 100% functional when I bought it new. The pedal is relatively quiet when pushing the front end of my Carvin low-gain amp. In the front of my Marshall however it was a little too noisy. The EQ parameters were quite usable and did a nice job shaping my tone. The gain function was less usable, again because of the added noise (hiss). This noise was apparent using the battery or a 9v adapter. The quality of the pedal is fine, but its 100% made of plastic. I had no usability problems with it, but you should be aware that it is in fact all plastic.
Overall its worth 4 stars because for $25 its a great deal. However I spent a little more on a used MXR 10-band w a 18 volt power supply that is much more quiet when pushing my Marshall. If you want some EQ shaping and don't want to drop a lot of money, this pedal is probably your best bet. You have to spend about four times as much (or more) to get higher quality, and you have to decide whether that higher quality is worth four times the price.

great features

great equalizer; works also as preamp; provides a volume boost with pedal engaged for leads; actually works without pedal engaged; 9 volt battery lasts much longer than similar pedals; I've used one for years. This was bought for a friend.Read full review...
