Very happy with this unit!
The review is a bit biased because I got a wicked good deal on this unit but even at regular price this is a very nice unit with all the features I wanted - slider faders instead of knobs, some built in EFX and the ability to patch together my entire studio. The only bad thing about this unit is the manual is all but useless. It gives a few diagrams of how you might hook it up. There is very little info about the rest of the features but there are plenty of videos online to help with that. If you need a reasonably priced unit that is solidly built for a small studio or podcast get this one.Read full review...

Great Sound - Extremely Unreliable
I purchased brand new in 2020, and used it for less than 20 hours before it started emitting a full-volume digital buzz through my JBL PA speakers. Contacted Music Tribe and it took them 4+ months of it being in the shop with little to no communication on warranty work (I suspected it wasn't coming back or they lost it). After consistently reaching out to them, eventually, they told me they were waiting on a part, and a month later I got the mixer back. 30 minutes into the wedding reception when I stepped away for a minute from the booth, the audience got a full-volume digital buzz/static noise again. I thought one of my newly acquired Sennheiser microphones was picking up interference or squelch wasn't set right. Turns out the mixer failed again. Actually, it's been the digital effects processor dumping noise into the main output. I contacted Music Tribe again, but they said it was out of warranty and refused to work with me to rectify the failed warranty work they did. I also have a 32-channel Behringer mixer that died on me right before I got this one, and a company I worked in the past that does live music for new and well-known performers had an X32 go bad on them. At this point, I can no longer recommend Behringer, at least when it comes to Mixers. We're a repair center, so we'll dig into out-of-warranty repair, but it's a shame. When it works, it really works well, but there is an engineering issue that is ruining the processor, even when it got replaced, it died again shortly after. Behringer Always Delivers !
I've always had a special place in my heart for the Behringer brand. My first mixer was the 802 which I still use. I like the earthiness, grit, and warmth of the Behringer sound. Although I have used the products that starts with "M" they can sound sterile at least to me.
You only have one other channel with the 802.
Enter the XENYX 1204. It has decent on-board compression that sound great, if used sparingly along with pre and post fader buttons which are great for mix-minus.
It has a sturdy build, the faders and knobs are great and doesn't feel cheap to the touch.
If you like your audio to have some. "meat"

Needs better guide manual. Had to go to iTunes to get decent explanation for my grandson on how to use it. He has never used one before and it was a birthday. Once explained it is very easy to use.
