Simply the best sound for the money!

The only way I can describe the DT990's is sound in High Definition. I also own a pair of Massdrop Sennheiser HD6XX (650) which will now sit on their stand for quite some time. The 650's seem more laid back with their focus on midrange. The DT990's are crystal clear and leave you satisfied every time you put them on. The DT990's do not require any signal processing so if you have the high frequency turned up, they will be a little too bright so make sure you are at 0dB on your external devices. The low frequency is near perfect right now but after break in, they'll rock! Extremely comfortable to wear for long listening sessions too. I really can't say enough good things about the Beyerdynamic DT990's so if you're thinking of buying a pair, go for it, you won't be disappointed.Read full review...

Great for Mixing, Obvious Why It’s Industry Standard

Worth every penny. Great for mixing and a reference point. I would use these over KRKs and I’ve been an audio engineer for over 10 years. I discovered these after moving into an apartment and finding myself having to do some mixing at home and obviously had to be aware of volume. After demoing a few headphones these were the easy choice. I can mix on these just as good as I can monitors but would never suggest relying only on one or the other. These are comfortable and are great for long sessions. Doesn’t cause ear fatigue as fast as most headphones do. The closed back version is great for tracking/recording as well and I find a lot of performers love the sound and especially how comfortable they are. Doubt I’ll ever be buying another set of headphones in this price range. Read full review...

Beware

Fatiguing treble. Very surprised that such a popular set would sound like this. Not as comfy as Sennheiser HD. clarity good overall. Sibilance magnifier. Low power handling. Low spl. Reached excursion limits on a Kenwood CD player front panel HP output. Stand alone HP amplifier made very little difference in sound or output except compared to cell phone. Read full review...

These are clutch

The soft padded, open-back. Behrdynamin dt 990 pros are rugged durable and clear mixing cans. These are so comfy it's easy to forget the damage of earfatigue.

Great set of headphones.

Great sound, feel, and comfort. Works great with my Roland TD 17 drum kit. Decided to buy after listening to my daughters which she uses for professional gaming. Highly recommended.

Great headphones!

Picked these up to match my DT-770s i use for recording, and they live up to the hype. This is my first time with a pair of backless headphones and it threw me off for a second having to make sure everything was silent around me and there wasn’t an isn’t noise getting in and messing up my mix. Overall they take just a second to warm up to but they are PERFECT for getting a clean representation of your songs as they are now so you can make any finishing touches. And you can’t deny they are stylish as ****!!!! Thank you Beyerdynamic! 🙏🙏Read full review...

One of the best open back headphones you can buy

Guys this headset sound so good. I really recommend it. I love mine and got a great deal. the 250ohms needs something with a little power to make it work to its fullpotential; like an headphone amp. If you plug it to your phone, you will not be able to reach a decent loudness or maximum loudness of the headphones. Don't get me wrong it works on a phone but not loud because of the impedance. With an headphone amp or Audio interface, you will then appreciate the high quality sound of this unit. Very comfortable, well built and well design. A very beautiful and well balance sound.Read full review...

Amazing

The best headphones I have ever used hands down and it's not even close. You do need an amplifier or a decent sound card that has an amplifier if you want to utilize these headphones properly.

Great gaming headphine

Is this better than steel series or any other good high end gaming headset? That's questionable, at least to my ears. Before I got these I tried Philips shp9500, steel series arctis pro +dac, cloud 2, and my rig 800. These are pretty good, I'm by no means an audiophile. If the arctis pro weren't so expensive I would of kept them. But the up charge for the dac and hi-res was a little much. The rig 800 is a fantastic wireless headset as well, I just wanted something better for tarkov. These are great open back with a mod mic and amp/dac.Read full review...

The best by far.

Sound that is alive more than anything I have heard. These headphones are used in professional recording sessions. I wear them for hours in comfort, but they are big and weighty but the fit and ear-cups are gentle. The sound quality and separation are so good that I often turn my head during streaming sessions because I think there is an external sound coming from my right or left.Read full review...
