Quick Read

Great read for anyone interested in Patton.
This covers not only some military battles but also the politics involved with the Great Britain, Russia and USA alliance. More going on in the background than most knew about at the time. Patton was certainly not politically correct!Read full review...

Suffers by comparison

This is the second recent book on the subject of the probable assassination of General Patton. The other is Target : Patton, by Robert K. Wilcox.O'Reilly and Dugard's book is more informal, moves more quickly, ranges further and is less scholarly...Generally (as it were) this book is probably a better introduction to the subject for the interested lay person. A military historian would do better with the Wilcox book. If you are going to read both, I suggest starting with the O'Reilly one, and following that with the Wilcox book.....but that is far more information than most people will want to have thrust at them.Read full review...

Another thrilling read for the history contained in each of us!

Once again, as in Killing Lincoln, Killing Kennedy and Killing Jesus, Bill O'Reilly has made an easy, entertaining read for all of us history buffs! If you have not read any of the "Killing" series, I highly recommend each and every one, even for the non-history lovers. These books are great non-fiction novels, to say the least!Read full review...

Loved this book! I couldn't put it down and read it in 2 evenings.

I bought this book because I wanted to know more about General Patton. I had heard so many different stories and wanted to know how they compared with this book. This book is historically accurate and is a fascinating account of this man's life. General Patton reminds me of the old saying "it ain't bragging if it is a fact". He said what he could do and did it. He was accurate regarding what the Soviet Union would do after the war, but no one wanted to hear about it. Time proved him to be right.Read full review...

Intriging, well told story of one of America's greatest generals

It was a very interesting read, hard to put down until finished. Presents a very interesting story about the life and the possibilities of the way it tragically ended!
