NOT SO GREAT PHONE but wonderful for texting via social networks,

Before I bought this phone I had a NOKIA E63. It was a great phone but there was one problem (the updates did not come directly to the phone) making it a little slow. Otherwise than that all the applications worked seamless and were quite userfriendly.

NEGATIVES

I wish I could say the same for BB9700,

-There is no pdf reader on this thing and it seems you have to pay US$9.99 for one that does not work.
-The flashlight feature is difficult to locate.
-I like to write notes to myself as reminders. This feature is not easily accessible on this phone.
-The buttons are extremely small for those of you with large fingers or where nail tips. You will be constantly hitting incorrect keys. On the 8520 model users have more space for typing. It is more user friendly in that regard.
-The battery life really sucks!
-With reference to applications available for the phone, it also seems that any programme which would be remotely interesting does not work although the apps have been supplied by RIM (official creator of blackberry).

PS. - Apps from NOKIA store actually work.
- When the battery on NOKIA has fully charged it gives a little beep so you know to stop charging the battery. This extends the battery life. This does not happen with BB9700. It is such a nuisance.

POSITIVES

The chat feature works great, and that is the primary reason why I switched from my NOKIA.

In my country most people have a Blackberry. Thet mostly use it for BB messenger which is highly economical for chatting when most of your friends have the service and THAT is the only reason why I switched to Blackberry.

Oh the joys and wonders of peer pressure.

Good phone with good price

I'm a Nokia lover, but I bought this Blackberry 'cause i'm looking for another phones to see what they offer, this was a good choice.

I really like the smartphone experience, is like getting your internet life to everywhere! I like the ease of use and the home screen who tells you about everything.

I don't like the menus and the problem of hanging up when there are a lot of activities at the same time. I think is a memory problem. The battery life is very good.

Camera is not bad, but after seeing the photos taken from my Nokia 5800 i think the camera could make a better job.

If you like to stay connected with friends, the facebook, the online applications and the web everywhere, this phone can help you a lot!

The perfect female Blackberry phone

I decided to buy this phone because a friend of mine recently purchased it and I loved the sleek look and feel of it in my hand. Unlike the many other Blackberry phones this one was very small and could fit in the palm of my hand. This was my first Blackberry purchased because the others were too big and bulky looking. I think it's the perfect female phone because of our small hands. After buying it I was even more impressed with the features, I especially enjoy the fast upload and download features, the crystal clear 3.2mp camera it's a camera within a phone. I enjoy the convenience of having my emails and im on the go and of course the ease of updating and receiving my Facebook updates. The feature I enjoy and use the most is Pandora, I get to enjoy listening to all my favorite songs. The only problem for me was to find my way through the features, unlike Nokia phones which are very user friendly no matter the model Nokia you can use them straight out of the box without having to read a manual. Females looking to purchase a Blackbery phone but shy away because of the bulky look, the Blackberry Bold 9700 is perfect not only for its features but also for its size and sleek and sexy look. Overall the Blackberry Bold 9700 is a great phone with many great features and I'm enjoying getting to know and use my phone. I love it.Read full review...

It's still a solid and powerful choice.

The BB Bold 9700 boasts a sleeker design that includes an optical trackpad, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a brilliant display. The smartphone is 3G capable and offers Wi-Fi with UMA support, Bluetooth, and GPS. It also gets a faster processor and updates to BlackBerry OS 5.0. The handset's compact size results in a smaller display and keyboard.Read full review...

Overall this is a very GOOD phone and I strongly recommend it!

This is a very good product, not only does it seemlessly integrate email and messages into the phone, it also provides amazing battery life and a relatively compact size compared to previous BlackBerry models. The only negative aspect would be the slightly slower performance when fully loaded with information, however, that being said if you have any computer skills at all you will not have problems with this; simply dump some of the old information and your good to go again. Another downside to this phone is that it does not have the upgraded browser similar to the new BlackBerry's and the browser is slightly less impressive compared to phones in the same time period. Absolutely amazing security and if you deal with any sensitive data this is an extremely important feature that is commonly overlooked on handheld electronics. The BlackBerry desktop manager also allows you to seemlessly integrate music, backup your information, and provide updates to the device. One positive feature about the desktop manager software is that it can actually sync with your iTunes playlists so there is no difficulties going from an iPhone to a BlackBerry, or iPod to BlackBerry. The QWERTY keyboard makes it an amazing phone to type emails and long messages and this is all this coming from a user that has gone from; Android, to BlackBerry, to iPhone, to Android, and now back to the Bold 9900. This is a very good product and I wanted this phone back after I got the iPhone! One note to add to potential buyers as well: If your buying a phone for use within Canada, make sure you check with your service provider before buying a phone, because even Unlocked phones can't run on certain networks because of the frequencies. SO ALWAYS FIND A PHONE WITH THE FREQUENCIES YOUR NETWORK PROVIDER HAS!Read full review...

I love this phone!!

blackberry bold 9700 is a powerful device specially made for business men and busy people who mostly rely on their phone to communicate with their employees, customers, partners, friends and the like. It has a unique feature called the blackberry internet service (BIS) and blackberry enterprise server (BES). The BIS is usually utilized for busy individuals like me and the BES is for business enterprise.

I love this phone because of its speed to deliver emails and all other messages. It has wifi and the camera is very good compared to the BB bold 9000. Its very handy and useful when it comes to GPS, internet browsing. Overall, a rate this phone 5/5 because it caters to all my needs for good communication. I love this phone!

Blackberry Bold 9700

I got my blackberry 1 week ago, it a sleek, user friendly smart phone, downloaded themes and other applications which are practical for daily use. My only problem is its bluetooth, cannot transfer file from my Nokia N97 and pairing is quite problematic with other bluetooth capable device. I hope RIM will improve their Bluetooth technology in the future. Overall I like the fonts, screen interface and QWERTY keyboard and batterylife.Read full review...
