Great Game!

Blitz is a great game as long as your not getting it for a football simulation. 30 yard first downs may seem strange but it keeps up with the arcade feel that Blitz was made for. The career mode has some depth to it as well, designing your jerseys and logo is well done. Then once you start playing there are tons of challenges like causing X amount of injuries that will award you trophies and bonus stuff. The amout of drugs that you can dose your players up with is insane and they all have there advantages and disadvantages. The injuries in this game are not for the faint of heart, when someone gets hurt the game goes into a CSI style camera where it actually shows the bones break and shatter, VERY grusome but very well done. This is the only football game I have ever played where I liked being on defense and given the oportunity to really jack somebody up.

I liked the first Blitz the League on PS2 so this was a no-braner for me. I think that the critics were way to hard on this game, I can understand not paying $60 for this but if you can get it for under $20 then your getting a great deal on a really good game.Read full review...

Cross between madden and blitz

This game is a hybrib of madden and blitz oldschool. One fallback is you can't use nfl teams but the gameplay and special effects are cool. I like the fact that when you throw a long bomb you can take control of your guy and run around you opponent and either jump or dive for the catch, that's were the madden comes in plus the game looks like madden. but you can't beat breakin bones, injecting needles, and roids hey it has a little of everything. hey at least you get lt the infamous lawrence taylor. Great Game but It's Challenging though when you play a different team every game though all teams are very different in what plays you make for your team & other teams too when your playing a team and about making all the right plays for your team & score points for the team as well.Read full review...

This game is worth the buy because of it's GAMEPLAY & value.

This game has very credible graphics, but the gameplay is what stands out the MOST. Although online gameplay may suffer some days, because the game was created in '08 with not many players, the gameplay offline and online is awesome! It's madden and injury tackles meshed into together.
