It was trueto the story line.

Keep in mind it's in the B movie horror genre, but it is done very, very well. Much better than the late 70s version. The original Body Snatchers of the 50s was an honest product of the times, well done and also beats the second version by a mile.

The 90's Body Snatchers

Body snatchers the invasion continues, was a great movie.
Starring Meg tilly as Carol Malone (the stepmother) Gabrielle Anwar as Marti Malone, Terry Kinney as Marti's father, and Forest Whitaker as Major Collins.
The movie is set on a military base, where Marti's father is sent to work for a few months as an assignment for the E.P.A.
The movie goes along with the basic plot of aliens trying to take over the human race, but it is different then the newer verion with Nicole Kidman.
In this version you can become infected when you go to sleep, whereas in the newer version you must become infected and then your transformed when you fall asleep.
This version is definitely worth watching.

Yet another take off on Rob Heinlien's book

I liked the fact that the movie pays tribute to the story, but does not copy the other movies directly. It's a story of the people in a different setting and how they deal with the world being taken over by these pod creatures. I bought it because I am a huge fan of Robert A. Heinlien. What I did not like about it, was that this movie seemed to be mostly taking place at a military base/camp in a rural town. I felt that there should be a greater global feeling to the movie as was in the original.

Worth a watch

I'm a fan of the original and enjoy the remakes.

No real new ground here but an enjoyable romp down Body Snatcher Lane.
