Great priced Noise Canceling
I bought 3 sets for our video editing company and they work great. It really does cut down ambient noise around you. We're in a cozy, open-plan office with lots of computers and people clicking away on the editing videos and lots of conversations about the projects. Once I put on the headphones and turn them on, I can finally think and not be distracted by others.
They are super comfortable over the ear headphones, I have a semi large head and have no problems slipping off or not fitting. It takes (1) AAA battery for the set and they last at least a month or so if you use them like we do. Be careful to turn them off after use, they don't have an auto-off function. It will drain the battery pretty quick if left on.
I'm an Audiophile and these are not to be trusted to mix music with. Any other practical use they'll work fine, even editing audio for video, which is primarily what I do. Listening to music, for the price they sound great.Read full review

Disappointed !
Little disappointed 😥 For what these Headphones cost. There is no volume control, other then your device. Also I hate the fact it requires the use of one AAA Battery to operate. That is not just for the noise cancelling feature. They won't work without it installed. The Batteries don't last long either. I read it's like every 35 hours you need to replace. Even with a rechargeable it's a bit excessive, if you use frequently. Read full review

LOVE MY BOSE
I bought one of these fifteen years ago through Bose and they would send me foam ear pads and cord when they would wear out. I paid such a minimum cost of ten dollars or less to have them mailed to me. The quietness was so great when i used them on the airplane. No yelling or plane noise or or or. :-) The speaker finally went out in the right side and i could not fix it. Saw this on ebay and jumped on it as Bose does not make this brand anymore. Everything is wireless except. at age 75 I will take this over wireless anyday. Read full review

Comfortable, good sound
I like these headphones mostly because I can use them to work almost anywhere: noisy cafe, library, etc. Using noise cancellation helps when sounds are predictable (background hum), but does not totally cancel human voice and conversations. In this case, I also add a bit of white noise to further cancel outside noise. They are very comfortable and do not bother me even after an hour of wearing them. The only downside is that they do not have a passive listening mode -- in other words, they cannot be used as regular non-active noise cancelling headphones. I have to turn noise cancellation in order for the headphones to work. This would have been beneficial to save battery life. At the same time, the battery (AAA) lasts a good while -- for me it was about 3 weeks of everyday use.Read full review

Great design and construction
I use these on a treadmill to block the sound, and listen to audio tapes or DVDs. The noise cancelling is fantastic at blocking the lower register hum of the treadmill, and they are extremely comfortable. The ear cups are so soft, they feel like pillows. Battery life is good, what's not to like?Read full review

A great accessory to aircraft travel.
These earphones replace ones that broke after many years of use. I expected that the Bose would be much better based on other reviews, and I was not disappointed. A few days ago, I was on a Delta 727-9 aircraft, and the sound suppression was so good that I hardly heard the engine noise. There were moments when I forgot where I was. The aircraft has entertainment screens with audio jacks, so it was easy to access the sound.
Most headphones are wireless but seems to me that wired ones are easier to use and probably have much longer battery life - and perfect for air travel.Read full review

Very effective design.
Combining both well designed passive with active noise cancellation techniques make these a very effective set of headphones. The passive ambient noise reduction works by covering your ear as opposed to sitting on your ear. The very soft cup foam rim molds to seal out the outside. Combing this with the active cancellation circuitry greatly attenuates ambient noise. With this model, Bose uses 2 microphones per ear cup, one to monitor inside and one to monitor outside noise. This sampling is processed through the circuitry and inverted and re-applied to cancel (or greatly reduce) unwanted noise. This leaves the original incoming audio source or near nothing if not plugged in.
Speaker quality is good also, from deep clean base noted up through well defined mid range and crisp highs.Read full review

I'm not a sound nerd but here's my very positive Quiet Comfort 15 review
We have special needs in our family and I wear Bose Quiet Comfort to sleep when it's my turn. I used them at first to block out a really strong storm. Usually I love storms (we live in the Great NW) but this was too much so I remembered my husband had a pair of QC15 for travel, so I wore them to sleep. Eventually I realized they could help me sleep all the time. Sometimes I listen to recorded books, sometimes just to the white noise. I've tried others including the QT25. I'm saving that pair for wearing to loud amusement parks. Quiet Comfort 15 are the best for sleeping in and wearing during chores, w/a recorded book, when I'm not otherwise needed. The QT25 are similar in quality BUT they were designed to fold up smaller so there are extra bends in the headband. I clipped my finger in that once. Ouch. Plus they catch in my hair. I'm so addicted to Quiet Comfort 15 that I not only stocked up on as many as I could find but I've given some away to dear friends who need quiet and comfort. I gave 2 pair of the Quiet Comfort 35 Wireless to friends who don't need them for sleep bc I believe in the company and quality and they needed wireless for a project. Might be nice to be wireless, but the QT15 are tried and true for my sleep.Read full review

High quality - typical BOSE
I wear this on flights overseas in order to sleep. The noise cancel works well for low freq engine noise and the undercurrent of passenger conversations. Expensive, but much better than knockoffs! Nice carrying case; I take extra batteries.Read full review
