fun expansion of my music practice world

I've been using this for a couple of weeks. Still trying to figure out some of the features, but I'm looping. I've downloaded some blues jam tracks into the machine and going for it. Used the Latin rhythm feature for some fun soloing. I didn't need anything more complex, and the price was equal to many outlets. I will get my money's worth from the RC-3.Read full review...

Great pedal and worth the price

I got this pedal 3-4 weeks ago and am totally satisfied with the it. It's really easy to use and has 3 hours of recording time in 99 different patches. I use this to record ideas and even complete songs using a drum machine. but the pedal does have drum beats in it that you can set the speed with tap tempo. i find it hard to accurately set the speed though. Record quality is also very good. I expect it to deteriorate however.Read full review...

Buy it!

If you want a moderately simple looper w/rhythm and the ability to load backing tracks- or connect an auxiliary device like a phone or mp3 player- you can't beat this looper. Took me about a day to get the hang of it- I would recommend backing up the backing tracks that come already on it because if you accidentally delete one or record over it- that's the only way to get it back. When you get it- connect it to your computer and copy those files to your hard drive- now if something happens you can just put them back on the pedal. It has 9 tracks 90-99- already on it, really fun stuff to play over. I also got theFS-5U foot switch that goes with it- makes it more intuitive to use imo. It's packed with cool features and ways to edit and save what you've recorded. It has 24 bit resolution which means you can stack several tracks before you start noticing any loss of sound quality. The RC5 is even better but- much more expensive- this one does almost all the same stuff for much less. Read full review...

Good pedal for the money

Bought used but advertised as like new. Found that the top volume control knob sticks which wasn't mentioned. Will have to resolve that issue. As for the pedal itself, I use it to hone timing. A great teacher it is. Really like the drum patterns it comes stock with too. Can't go wrong with this pedal. So simple and does so much.Read full review...

A great Looper ledal

After one of our guitarist left the band I decided to dive in to the looper market. BOught a small Ditto looper a couple months ago. Unusable live.
This ones a winner so far. 99 separate loops, 3 hours of recording time. If you add a boss fd-5u pedal it’ll shut it off with one touch rather than 2.
For us live it’ll still be tricky because of tempo. I plan using it to only on the beginnings of songs. My next trial will be to see if my keyboard can be added to a patch.

Great features and super fun

I did a lot of research before buying my first loop pedal. There's so many varieties. Simple one-button pedals and really complicated ones out there. Needed something in the middle. This fit my specifications. I do wish it had 24-bit recording resolution like some of the other pedals, but honestly it hasn't impeded the fun factor. So far I've had a blast and don't know how I've lived without it.Read full review...

ONE MAN, BIG BAND SOUND.

I am using my RC-3 like CD player. I do a one man show. I record my Bass and Drums tracks and save them to one of the 99 songs, then I just sing and play lead guitar over my tracks from the RC-3. It works great for that. I don`t have worry about a C.D. skipping and the song numbers are lit up like Christmas Tree for playing in dark areas. If you want to do live looping get the extra pedal for the unit. The double tapping to stop is to much trouble without it.Read full review...

Probably the last LOOPER you'll ever buy.

This fella records a whopping 3 HOURS of; riffing, noodling, jamming, sampling, layering etc.

It's really way more than you likely need.

For a serious speed-a-holic freak practice tool, it's pretty sweet. The ability to shred some phrases, accompany them and save on one unit.........the memory is 99 banks..........and if you dig Beck (loser) or Floyd trippy tunes you're doing yourself a disservice by not grabbing one of these.

.......only down side is you CAN'T adjust the tempo of your recordings-kind of a bummer.

At the intersection of simple and complicated.

This is pretty intuitive and feature rich. It is almost too complex for performing, but really nice for practice and writing. I am sure after more time with it I would be very comfortable on stage with it, but if you are planning on getting it to replace your gigging looper, you may need to stay up a few nights getting the hang of the additional features.Read full review...

Excellent tool

I was sceptical when first told to get this thing to practice with. I use it for improving my guitar playing and have now experimented with all sorts of backing rhythms and quick chord progressions. It turns out to be really useful for creating riffs and improvisation over your scales.

You have to know what chord progression you want to record though; and once you've got the gist of it, it is really a good tool to have.
