Good looking toaster but it does not toast very even. The outside of the toast was done correctly but the inside was only browend on the left and right edge. The middle of the bread was not toasted. It still uses the old wire element technology. My Black and Decker has a quartz heating element and does a much better job.Read full review...

I bought this toaster based on positive EBay reviews and reviews on other websites. It has been a big disappointment and would not recommend. The heating is extremely uneven and has burned the edges of English muffins and bagels..toast is no better. Doesn't matter what setting. If you toast bagels, Engish muffins etc. (small items) you cannot get them out easily even with the "extra" pop up feature. It is not as sturdy as my old one..a Cuisinart that is years old. I would never purchase this again..I could have bought a $29 toaster and had the same results.Read full review...

For many men the toaster seems to be the center of the universe. For that reason why not spend a few bucks more and have this high point of the day really go well. I am very happy with the Breville two slice. I believe there is a model above this one. It heats quickly, evenly, consistently, and is very predictable. It is easy on the eyes as well.
