One of the all-time great rock albums

I'm biased, of course, but I have to say this is one of the best albums to ever appear on the rock scene anywhere. It's certainly my favourite Baby's album; just one of those things that all comes together I suppose. John Waite lends his amazing vocal structures to a tight-knit band that, for a while at least, looked like they were going to take the world by storm. If you don't know the Babys yet and want a first look - this is it. (Hope you can find it!) Loverly!Read full review...

The Best Unheard Babys

This album contains some of the best of The Babys aside from Union Jacks. Its too bad it received little attention and is now harder to find. John Waite's unique vocals make the mostly ballad-driven set of 10 songs one of the most beautiful rock ballad albums of '77, with hardly any filler. The great follow-up, Union Jacks, abandoned this kinder, gentler side of the Babys 3 years later, and from there it was on to lesser things for the group. I agree with the first reviewer. Start here if you are looking for the creme de la creme of The Babys. Nice album.Read full review...

Dont bother...

This album contains some of the worst of The Babys ever. Its a good thing it received little attention and is now harder to find. John Waite's unique vocals make the mostly ballad-driven set of 10 songs one of the most useless rock ballad albums of all time, with hardly any filler, which there should've been plenty. The follow-up, Union Jacks, abandoned this crappy chick sound 3 years later, and from there it was on to even lesser things for the group. Stay away at all costs. Hey John Waite: "I ain't missin' you at all"!!Read full review...
