Decent, Not perfect, and Requires Prep and Additional Hardware
The box is fairly well-made and (once you fit it to your application) easy to install. Couple nits that drop it one star for me. As said, the lid does not sit flush when the clasp is used with a lock. So it will likely get water inside with spray from behind a truck. We've all seen how much water sprays behind trucks, and this will get into that gap. I used some spare door insulation to fill it in. There are other better strips I will research, but this works temporarily. Second, the box comes with NO hardware to install. Now I understand that each install will be different depending on the trailer. But there isn't a set of standard U-bolts included or cutouts in the bottom to help it along. I had to purchase two $5 U-bolts and several long bolts to go into existing holes in my frame. So be prepared for additional cost (about $16 for me). The box is not cheap so I expected some hardware and instructions (besides "fit your box and install it"). I had to measure the holes myself to facilitate installation. Again, not hard, just be prepared. Lastly, the bottom as noted elsewhere is not super thick, so I too used a piece of particle board, water sealed, as a base that I placed between the bolts and the box bottom. It made the install very secure and I can safely "throw" stuff in there knowing I can replace that board as required. It also seals off the holes you will be drilling in the bottom, again, assuming there will be lots of spray from a truck in front.
