The perfect solution to save my pipes from freezing (again).
Though it's great for hydroponics, I will be using it on a system to prevent frozen pipes (connected to an outside thermostat to turn the heating zone ON for 30 seconds and OFF for 30 minutes when it's cold outside). If you read the instructions it works perfectly. Sure, the markings around the adjusting knobs are not accurate but if you take the time to set them with a phone timer app or watch they are repeatable and remain accurate over time and uses. Century Short Period Cycle Timer
I'm not sure what all of the uses there might be for this product but for my unique purpose, it's just the ticket. I spent about 1500 bucks on a Traeger wood pellet grill that doesn't work! On the smoke setting, the grill constantly goes out! I like to smoke some stuff over night. Before I got this timer, I would have to get up every 45 minutes to make sure the grill was still working. If it had gone out, I would have to disconnect the power for 20-30 seconds then plug it back in so it would reignite. With this timer I can remove the power every 20 minutes for 20 seconds and then turn it back on automatically. When it powers back up, it restarts the flame!
