Black ops

It's a good shooting/war game. Enjoy playing it. Good graphics and with my low skill level I find it challenging to reach the next level. For someone who is a casual player you get your moneys worth.Read full review...

Good game but bad platform

I was very upset to learn there are many features not available in this game for the WII edition. One of the main reasons was to play zombies, although you can there is no split screen so it's only single player. (Don't forget the vending machine behind the bar for a revive) the only perk to one player zombies. It's only one zombie map too..
Online modes work but no 2 player for missions or training. Cheat codes don't seem to work either, in the main screen you can escape from the chair and access a computer to enter them but they don't work.
I got classic controllers for the game and in zombies they only let you pick from several pre set controls you can't customize so they are kind of awkward.
Game play is ok but I always preferred MW cod. The turning side to side is slow aiming and you can't cycle through killstreak rewards which is annoying. I'd like to be able to use a uav before an airstrike to increase it's effectivness.
If these are things you're looking for get a different cod or buy it on a different platform that supports it. I should of checked myself but didn't think at all split screen wouldn't be supported so kind of shocked.

Call of Duty: Balck Ops (Wii, 2010) Great Game!!

Black Ops for the Wii is a definite must buy for all serious gamers on the Wii. The story mode is amazing, with in depth conflict throught many terrains. Online is also superior, with new maps and wager matches adding unlimited fun. The new Cod Points system for purchasing weapons and upgrades its also highly addictive.

Now your probably wondering why i havent rated this as an excellent product, and thats because of one main thing. Huge differences of content from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

Okay, first off, yes the graphics aren't as good, but thats to expect, as the Wii isn't as HD as the other systems.

But the thing that truley got me were the fact that there is no local anything. NOTHING. No local multiplayer (including online, combat training, splitscreen, or zombies) really hurts my review of this game. I was looking forward to being able to play alongside my brother, but once we discovered there wasn't any local multiplayer, we were higly dissapointed.

Other annoying differences from the competeing consoles includes less killstreaks in online (No chopper gunner, valkrieye rockets, or gunship just to name some), and no camera spike, which was probably the coolest thing about being a sniper in Black Ops.

Besides these flaws, Call of Duty: Black Ops is still an excellent game for anyone looking for a really indepth, adiicting first-person shooter, and i would fully recomened it that way. However, if you are looking a game which you can hookup and play along side your friends, or any local multiplayer for that matter, this game is certainly not for you.

The best game for wii in 2010

It has a really great story, great game to play and easy to play for anyone. The multiplayer are also great and the new zombie mode is reall awesome to. However, when you played this game for a very, very, long time it will become really boring. The zombie map for wii has only one map to play, but the other system like ps3 and xbox 360 has alot of zombie maps and new maps for multiplayer. Overall it is fun game to play.Read full review...

NOT for kids, this is a great dark & gritty game

This is the DARKEST grittiest COD game to date. It's a series of small missions surrounded by a woven story. There are times I'd like to skip the story and just play, but it's fun and the graphics are great. Playing on the wii with the wiiMote & nunchuk I found annoying, to me it's a game that does better with a 'old school' remote. I tried it with a few different gun systems and still went back to the remote for ease of play. I would LOVE to find a really good FPS that used a wiimote & nunchuck or gun system well. So far I think goldeneye has that part better... but if you're looking for a gritty in your face war and combat game... look no further!Read full review...

The best game ever!!! (And I mean it)

When I bought this game I got the wii version and I expected to be good, but I was blown away by the in depth multiplayer and excellent gameplay. Loads of different weapons, customizations, perks, killstreaks, maps, tacticals, leathals, and other things keep the game fresh no matter how much you play.

REPLAY VALUE 5/5 stars(excellent)You'll want to play every day!

GAMEPLAY(with classic controller) 5/5stars Easy to learn but is does take some practice to master. You'll never want to put it down!

FUN 5/5 stars I could easily play this game all day every day.

MULTIPLAYER 5/5 stars The best multiplayer I have ever played. You'll never get bored. Note that the wii multiplayer as well as wii zombie mode is not local which means you cannot play with your friends on the same console. You can still play with your friends however. All you have to do is find out your friend's ally code and enter it in. You can send ally requests to anyone you play with even if you don't know them.

OVERALL 5/5 stars The number 1 game of all time for wii. A must have. This is the first game I would recommend to anyone who likes gun games.

Content

I do not care for the language of this game. So I stay out of campaign and only play multiplayer. Personally, that is like lowering the rating from M to Teen.
This is a great game for the wii, except that it does not have local multiplayer. So you cannot play the person sitting next to you. Thats a bummer. Other versions have this feature, but the wii does not support it, not even for zombies. (it does have zombies for one person) Great Weapon Selection and Variety of Gameplay. It's an addicting game.Read full review...

Wii Black Ops gets a 10!

This game rocks even though a lot of people don't rate the Wii system very high. The story line is well put together and the graphics are great It is a little difficult to master jumping from platform to platform within the game, but it comes with a little bit (or a lot) of practice. I still enjoy going back to previous missions just to see if I can do better than the last time around. A++

The only thing that I could say negative is that I use the Wii zapper accessory, which by the way works very well with this game, but my arms and wrists get tired. I don't mind so much though, it's the kind of pain and suffering anyone could get used to for an experience like you get with C.O.D Black Ops!
