Sexton Christmas has some bright spots
I am a huge Martin Sexton fan. For a Sexton fan you have to have this. It is a very warm album that give you the sense that he is singing from the room just next door. For non Sexton fans looking for a great Christmas album this won't hit the mark. Half the songs are mellow, close to the original Christmas classics while the other half is Martin flexing his (admirable) chops.Read full review...
Martin Sexton - Camp Holiday
This is not the best Martin Sexton album ever as Christmas albums are rarely an artists greatest work. It is a very warm and musical CD though. I recommend it for those who are looking for a slightly different Christmas CD with an actual artist headlining it.Read full review...
More country/rock than folk.
This is an interesting "holiday" album, cleanly done, beautiful vocal and music mix, no pretensions-- no ton of dubious studio production ladled over the performance, this is out and out proof and demonstration of talent.
If you want a good Christmas album, this is one.
