Not cheap, compact in size, but one of the best.

This little, camera-mounted microphone, provides surprisingly good audio. It is a little more expensive than others, but is just as good, if not better. Keep in mind that the foot that provides support and electrical connection to the camera is not standard, so the microphone won't work on other cameras.
