Anout the printer I purchased.

The Canon PIXMA iP6700D Photo printer I purchase in September is very good. It arrived on-tone as promised and it is working nicely. When I printed photos they came out very clear. The only draw back are: 1) you forgot to send me the installation disk. Luckily, I have one on hand from my old printer. 2) some spots of ink around the edge of the page (not on the photos). Thank you.Read full review...

Ip6700d

The control panel never work. The printer was throwing error messages. Replace the print heads and ink cartridges 3 times. Not a fan.

Try it, you'll like it!

I had a Canon PIXMA iP6700D Inkjet Printer for about a year when I accidentally dropped it and broke the loading tray. Rather than buy a new printer, I decided to try a refirbished one which is much cheaper. To my surprise, it was every bit as good as my old one. I gave it a thourough examination, but couldn't find any trace of it being previously used. It works great, and has a new printer guarantee. My only disappointment was that It didn't come with the extra receiving tray that the old one has, but I can use the old one on this printer if needed. There were no ink cartridges included, but it had a brand new printhead, which means more to me than the ink. I have changed my mind about refirbished products, as long as they are refirbished by the manufacturer.

If you are in the market for a photo quality printer, this is the one to buy. Photo printing is superb.

Another Excellent Printer (as expected) from Canon

It is my opinion that the Pixma IP6700D printer is excellent printer for the money. I had a Canon i960 printer for the longest time and then it finally died. (the i960 printer was used commercially, printing photos non-stop for hours at a time) I looked at the new Canon photo printers, but it seems that the trend is the "all-in-one" printers with the scanner, fax etc. Well I wanted a photo printer! My old i960 used 6 color inks and it seemed like a downgrade to go to only 4 color inks found in all the "all-in-ones" printers. In fact, the only current models of photo printer by Canon (that uses 6 or 8 ink colors) are their pro line which was out of my price range. Once I saw the IP6700d had the 6 ink colors, I thought it would be at least at good as my old i960. I was right! the printer delivers excellent photos prints and print them fast. I am a Professional Photographer and I like to edit my photos in Adobe Lightroom before they hit the printer, so I don't use the built in card reader, but would be great for someone who wants to print photos right out of the camera. I love the bottom tray to put my photo paper in so it does not get dust on it. Overall I give this printer the highest rating.Read full review...

Canon iP6700D

This photo printer is awsome. Seperate paper trays for differant size photos so you don't need to change and adjust the tray or settings (just push a button on the printer for the size you want to print ). Also has memory card slots and a color monitor so you don't have to use your computer if you don't want to. I also printed an 8 X 10 on this printer and took the same memory card to Walgreens and had them print the same picture. The Canon print was more vivid and crisp than the Walgreen print. I love this thing!Read full review...

Awesome Product, Great value for the money!

One of the best Photo Printer in the market. I have a Canon Pixma IP 4000 and a Canon Pixma IP4200 but so far just bought this canon Pixma IP6700D I found out that this is what I have wanted to keep because of the quality of photo print. The ink or cartridges are more reasonable price compare to a different printer. Plus refilling is not a problem, as long as you have a Chip resetter. Economical to your budget. I love this printer I wish I have known it before. But anyway it's good for the money and very excellent printer.Read full review...

Great home photo printer

I've been using the iP6700D for about six months now, and can say I've no regrets. It replaced the iP3000 (now residing beside my landlady's Mac), another excellent, affordable printer. The chipped cartridges are a couple of bucks more expensive, and there's six (opposed to the 3000's four), but at least Canon includes them with the printer (unlike some other companies). Some improvements I like are the "sleep" function (just hit "Stop/Reset" to wake it up) and a paper feed selection button (no more having to select between sheet feed or cartridge through "Print Properties"). I've really no use for the fancy LCD screen, though, or the built-in card readers. Wireless capability if you need that kind of thing. I judge by results, and the iP6700D gives me just that. Fairly quiet, fast enough to suit me, and not too large a footprint. Well worth the money.Read full review...

CANNON IP6700D IS THE BEST PRINTER EVER MADE

The cannon IP6700D is the best printer ever made. I tried more than 50 printers at my business and no printer has endured the beating like the IP6700D. We print more than 2000 letters every week and this printer has never broke down. We have more than 10 of these printers in our work vehicles and they take a licking and keep on ticking. These printers print the most beautiful quality color pictures.Read full review...

Top Notch Photo Printer

I have had several Canon and Epson Printers and by far this is my favorite. Lab quality Photo printing, very easy two sided printing for business, and paper support for most any home or small business project. Ink cartridges are relatively inexpensive and are still refillable. Overall a good value for the money.Read full review...

Good printer, good value for money

Great photo printer for occasional use. For more serious large volume output, go to the nearest walmart photocenter. Prints well on specific photopapers only and very poorly on regular paper. At $79 with cartridges it is a bargain ...New set of cartridges can be bought on line for about $30.
Ink cartridges do not last long.Quality is good while they last. This printer is not a replacement for a laser printer to print black text. It is designed to be a photoprinter.
paper feeding tray is quirky and needs frequent meddling. It would be nice if canon redesigns its printers to have a bottom paper input tray and the output tray on the top so that the paper case ( where dust collects) is always closed. Then, the front panel does not have to be opened to print. It would save space and make the printer look cute.

"Back-to-the-Future": "old" printer reborn!

This printer (made in 2006 (!!!) was never surpassed by any succeeding model (I've checked them all) - not in any category/feature: quality - both product's and Printing; Feeder Switch; reliability (my previous, same exact model, lasted 14 years); duplex printing; large LCD with superb menus, etc. By getting it NEW-IN-THE-BOX I did get a "Back-to-the-Future" experience!. The only drawback of getting printer that "old" - NO software for current MacOS.
Otherwise, GREAT BUY!
