Perfect for My Needs
This camera is very straightforward which makes it easy to figure out how to use the various shooting modes offered. I love that it has several auto modes, as well as a shutter speed priority and an aperture priority mode, as well as a manual option. It uses AA batteries, which is nice for me too. The size is manageable. I can carry it in my purse, but it is by no means a mini-digital camera. This camera is exactly what I was looking for and is in excellent condition.Read full review

Replacement for earlier (570) version
Being already familiar with the [predecessor] 570, the 590 takes very little time to become familiar with. Sure, there are some new features, and I haven't had time to read the instruction manual yet. Still has the electronic viewfinder to complement the LCD screen, a great feature; still has only a 4x zoom.... not so great. Next step up: a mirrorless DSLR .... some of which also have a viewfinder. Or, maybe just a newer Point-and-Shoot, with more "power".Read full review

2nd time owner
I love this camera so much, this is my second time owning one. After the first one, I eventually upgraded to a DSLR. I ended up spending too much money on lenses and accessories, so I sold all of that in an effort to just use my phone as a camera.
