Perfect everyday shooter
This is an awesome and efficient lens. It’s perfect for any type of photography you my aspire to do, or tap into. The RF quality is too notch for certain. It’s the cheapest of the RF collection but doesn’t lack on features or image quality. I shoot on the CANON EOS R w/ no stabilization yet this lens come with stabilization which some might find helpful. Water sealed and compact this makes for an awesome inside, or outside lens for your body. Read full review...

Pros and Cons
Pros...It is a great lens for the price. Most affordable RF lens Canon makes. It has a great picture quality and it is fast on AF. It has a separate lens ring for your convenience to setup for either ISO or F Stop.
Cons..No weather proof seal. Lens hood and cap.. does not fit well...Loud AF motor...Read full review...

Great, small, sharp lens
While this lens isn’t an ‘L’ lens, it’s as sharp if not sharper than the L zooms at 35mm and definitely faster for lower light situations or for background separation. Plus it’s relatively small and light and doesn’t make the camera cumbersome and heavy like the zooms and other L lenses do. Read full review...

A great lens for certain situations
I’ve been reading good reviews about this lens and decided to pick one up when I bought my EOS R. The control ring is phenomenal. The images shot with this lens are sharp and the price is really good. Definitely a good buy. You won’t be disappointed.Read full review...

Great lens
Sharp, quick focusing (although it’s external focusing, the lens physically changes its length to focus), and beautiful color

Great lens for live streaming as well as photography
I primarily use this for streaming work. My wife and I are both clergy and we do services for our two communities from home. The wide angle allows us to both be in frame and in great focus (as long as we set our chairs in the right places, while the 1.8 aperture blurs out the book cases behind us very nicely. the lens focus quickly and silently and is sharp even wide open. Highly recommend!Read full review...

Worth the Money
I've had the Canon R for about 9 months and this is the first R lens that I have bought and used. It is within a normal persons price range of $400 to $500, (unlike the other R lenses unless you have deep pockets and don't care about money.) It works flawlessly with the R camera and it is surprisingly lightweight. I highly recommend this lens if you are debating whether or not to buy this or an old EF lens, this is well worth the money!Read full review...

RF is better than EF
This lens is my new goto lens. All of the RF glass is beautiful, but expensive. This is one of the more afforadable ones by a lot and results are still awesome. Definitely better than adapting for an EF version. Read full review...
Very sharp lens and great value!
I recommend this RF lens! It produces sharp images and is a great value! Only wish it was weather sealed.
