No low dispersion glass or image stabilization. This means your best results handheld will need a sunny day and faster shutter speed. It does have a metal mount and good value. I would recommend this to those who only need telephoto reach on rare occasion and are happy with decent but not spectacular results on EF mount cameras. If you want better result the next step up would be the Canon 70-300 F-4-5.6 IS II USM but at higher cost. I would not recommend it on EF-S mount cameras as the 55-250 IS STM is a superior choice at a similar price save for the plastic lens mount.Read full review...
