the 5d mark 2 kit... hits and misses

Just got the 5d kit and man what a camera... the the two zoom lenses are Average to good Quality but the add on lenses are just so so.... for one they are only 58mm whitch means they fit to only one of the lenses.. telephoto lens is damn near unusable a low quality glass... the wide lens is not very wide 0.5x.... the micro lens is the best part. I wish they were both in a 72mm range so you could use them on both lenses... same with the filters.
The bag is nice, so is the case and the added fome is very useful.
the tripod is a joke as exspected...
the other little tripod... is more like a toy then something useful it can baerly suport the weight of the camera with no lens.
so all and all the camera, two lenes, A bag and a case.... the rest of the stuff, well its not junk but close.Read full review...

Changed My Game!

As a photographer, I purchased this camera to be able to move up to a full frame. I was also interested in its video capabilities. What I didnt know is that the video would be so nice that since I brought it, I have yet to do much still photography. The video is truly amazing and has gotten me interested in doing more video work in the near future.

The video camera that i once owned has now been sold to help pay back the money that I spent on this camera. I owned a panasonic DVX100-A, which was a pretty powerful video camera, but compared to the video images of the 5D Mark II, there is no comparison. The Mark II blows it away!

This isnt to say that the still images arent just as amazing. It is a wonderful DSLR, and is a major step up from my 40D, but the video is what puts this camera in a class of its own.

Bottom line is that the 5D Mark II is an amazing camera. The only reason I did not give it a perfect score is because its video functions are a bit limited by no manual controls (there are a few workarounds).Read full review...

Canon EOS 5D Mark II 21.1 Megapixel SLR Digital Camera

The quality of workmanship and lack of some features of this camera are still not as good as the Nikon D700(I own both). The minimum you would expect from a semi professional camera is an eyepiece shutter which is a must when taking pictures from tripod. The built in pop up flash is also very handy feature on the Nikon D700 and would be nice to have it on this camera as well. However the 21MP images produced by the camera are excellent and they need very minimal color correction, most of the time none. All in all it is a good camera.Read full review...

What a Camera!

I already had a full frame camera but it doesn't have "Live View" and I really missed that for critical focusing so I started researching other full frame Canon cameras. I looked briefly at the 6D but wasn't pleased with some of the reviews. When I looked at photos in online websites, I keep noticing the 5D Mark II listed as the camera was used for some magnificent photos. So I started my quest to purchase one. one of the best ever DSLR

I was using 5D mark ii as a backup camera with my canon 5D mark iii but now a days canon 5D mark iii has become my backup camera and 5D mark ii is my main body. i dont find much difference between the picture quality . both are awesome cameras and canon 5D mark ii is my everyday camera now a days. use to use 40D and 1D mark iii as well. 5D mark ii has much more better pic quality than both. if you can find it within $600-700 and if it is kind of fresh just buy it. im not a video guy but i have seen the video quality is also great. i like to buy one more canon 5d mark ii . weeding photography kills lots of shutter count so going to be need one more body soon. Canon 5d Mark !! Is awesome

Great camera. Even though it is 10 years old. It is awesome. This body when it came out was a game changer and cost about 3200. Image is still crisp.
