Over all it is a good enough camera for field trips.

First, very good looking design. A little small for those big-hands people to use. No LED protection is a short cut.
To the camera itself, it performs OK, but sometimes if you don't use the flash light, the image will looks terrible. Maybe it is because the photograghic chip is not that sensitive. So watch your lights when you use it.
Menu is been designed not so easy to use, like when close-up or manual flash is needed, you need many steps to change the setting. Not a big problem, but kind of inconvenient.Read full review...

I camera that will go with you to hell and back and keep on truckin'

Right off the bat, this is a camera that was made for use in rugged environments. If you do not need a camera that can take a beating, you can find one with more features for the same price. I purchased this camera when I was in Iraq with the Marines as an infantrymen as I had lost 3 other cameras from the fine dust in the air getting into the lens and motor. Needless to say, not only did it stand up to the shock and dust of Iraq but it also went with me and came back from Afghanistan as well. I had it in my cargo pocket on my legs when we went through a waist high canal of water and it never missed a beat. Everything is nice a sealed, with no moving parts exposed. Now it comes with me to the bars, still just as good as ever. The pics it takes at night time could be a little bit better, but all in all the pic quality is perfect for people just wanting a nice picture.Read full review...

Excellent Camera with time-lapse shooting

I bought this camera because it had time-lapse shooting. Although I wanted it to take pictures for 8 hrs. It only allows me to take for 30 minutes then after the 30 minutes I have to set up again which I sometimes forget and that kinda ruins my time-lapse movies. The quality of the pictures are of excellent quality. I use it outside where there is constant dust and it was also exposed to rain and the camera still works great. This camera is great for people on the move. I enjoy traveling and need a camera that can keep up. i have really big hands, i wear xl or xxl gloves, so the size is a bit small for me, but the weight and all the functions are perfect. other reviews complain about the knob for the
sd card opening, it is hard to open it by accedent. can wait to take it to south america!Read full review...

The camera that you don't worry about

This is a camera that you don't worry about taking with you, no matter where you're going. I also have a cannon dslr that I try and take good care of, so I keep it out of potentially hazardous situations; not this one. Snowboarding, sailing, snorkeling, atving, mountain biking; it can go anywhere that you can, except scuba diving.

Picture quality is good. Design is alright. It is the toughness that really takes the cake though. Definitely recommend this to anybody who likes sports or outdoor activitiesRead full review...

EXcellent EXILIM!!

This is my fifth Exilim camera. I was not aware there were water resistant ones. I have a GoPro but it does not zoom in like this one does. I L-O-V-E it!! Thanks!

Casio Exilim G EX-G1

I just got it today and tried taking pictures with it. It takes pretty good quality pictures, but I wonder if this camera really water proofed or not because the rubber coverings seems too simple. I should try it underwater, but have no courage to do that. It looks really hot and works great on the land. I don't know if it works underwater as it works on the land.Read full review...

Exelent product, i used on the water and the image was soo good. The pic is soo clean and the camera works good too.
Estetics desing is pretty, confortable to take the pics and you can used easer.
