Strong and Nice looking Base
I got a new chair and one of the base arms twisted and dumped me on the floor just five minutes after putting it together. The chair is rated for 400 pounds and I am no where near that heavy. So I ordered this Heavy Duty base and its easy to see it will hold the weight the chair was supposed to be rated at. Tried moving around like the chair dumped me with other base and I have not had any trouble. The base is as good as the posted statements clamed. An exact replacement for the flimsy plastic one that dumped me on my back when a leg cut loose. Very easy tao replace as it was an exact fit. I just had to get a hammer and ab lock of wood to drive the lift out of the old and to snug up the new one. Now the world is back on its axis. Very happy with the pedestal. Read full review...

Good bang for the buck
I've used them a few times in the short period of time I have owned them. I did some fine soldering work and also used them for reading to magnify some small printing while working on some projects. They also turned out to be very useful beyond the magnification aspect as a quick light source when I had to do some plumbing repairs underneath the sink.
