Having been a huge Buffy at the time I tried to watch this series on TV but was a bit lost since I didn't see the beginning. Now is your chance.

Get this set and watch the first disc and you'll get hooked. The premise is a bit campy at first and you can tell the pilot show and the first few episodes had lower production costs. After a couple of discs the stories, special effects, music and group chemistry get much better.

My suggestion is to buy it, watch it. If you love it keep it, otherwise sell it on ebay. Its cheaper than renting!!!!Read full review...

Halliwell Manor

Each disc played good but it froze one scene on disc 1 at episode 1. Other than that, I’m glad I got it.

With over 20 40-minute episodes it's a great value! It's very entertaining - got interested in the Charmed series during the pandemic with nothing else to watch on TV!

Everyday life + Supernatural = Awesome

One of many great shows from the late 90s in my opinion. Early Edition and Charmed being two of my favourites. Shows combining everyday life and something supernatural, which I think is an awesome and very entertaining combination. For those who don't know what this is all about, it follows three witch sisters living in San Fransisco. They have three different powers (bring time to a standstill, see the future and move objects using only the mind), but (almost) no one except them know they have these powers or know they are witches. They have to use these powers to deal with everything from demons to more regular stuff. You can probably imagine how entertaining it is. And story begins:

Phoebe finds the Book of Shadows in the attic and recites a spell giving all three women unique powers they were always meant to have: Prue suddenly has the gift of telekinesis, Piper can make time stand still, and Phoebe can see into the future. Charmed - The Complete First Season (2005, DVD)

In CHARMED, the three Halliwell sisters have accepted their destiny of protecting the innocent and vanquishing evil doers, even though that is generally not on the agenda of every twenty-something on the fast track to discovering what life's all about.
