Don't bother wasting your money!

With a change in writers from the first two seasons this show went right down the tubes.. The third season really stinks!!! I f originally bought the complete series as a three disk set but after viewing season three I threw that disk in the trash. Later I found another season three as a separate disk at a thrift store for a dollar and bought it just to have a new case for a different DVD; again, I threw Chef! season three in the trash.Read full review...

Chef! The complete Third Season, 2005

If you like British comedy, and food, you'll love this. THis takes you behind the scenes of "the top British restaurant," and lets you roar in laughter.

CHEF! The Complete Third Season

Not as good as the first 2 seasons as CHEF and his lovely wife no longer own the restaurant. They could not swing it financially. Therefore, their emotional investment has sharply decreased. The man portraying the rich financier who has purchased the restaurant grows increasingly non-funny as the shows move along.

CHEF has ceased yelling at his staff as his wife has filed for divorce - a REAL non-funny bummer. You begin to question whether you are watching a British comedy or tragedy.

The new "American" chef in CHEF's kitchen has one arrow in her quiver, her sexual interest in CHEF - also not funny. He is STILL married, afterall.

The actor portraying the highly talented alcoholic chef is mis-cast. He replaces a truly talented actor who had the part down to perfection.

I would not suggest buying this 3rd season as it's entertainment value, as a comedy, is almost nihl.

The first 2 seasons are hits and this was a real disappointment.
