Disappointed

I purchased this book with the understanding that it was a used "good" copy. The description was "Light shelf wear and minimal interior marks." I hardly think the interior of the book had minimal marks. This book was FULL, page after page, of chalk drawings by probably a 3 year old. I have bought many used books before, but I must say that the quality of this book was quite poor. I gave 2 stars because the shipping was quick, but the quality of this book is NOT "good" as listed. I attempted to gently remove the markings with no success. Very disappointed.Read full review...

I bought this book, because I remember reading it in the school library when I was a young girl, and then reading it to my children. Now that I have grandchildren, I wanted to enlarge my collection of Dr.Seuss books, and this one was an important one to get, since the old one was in bad shape. Horton Hears a Who

I like the simple, clever writing of Dr. Seuss. The book is great for children, but contains principles that anyone should learn from, like protecting the helpless. I decided to buy it because I wanted to read it before the Jim Carrey movie by the same name comes out. I have read it to all of my children and they asked me to read it over again. I know Dr. Seuss probably didn't intend this extrapolation, but the book seems to encourage us to re-examine our culture of ignoring 'the least' in our society.Read full review...
