If you enjoyed Lonesome Dove, you will like this too. Younger versions of Woodrow and Gus, and what they went through in earlier times. Actor portrayal was perfect. Great western.

My husband and I rented this movie because we really enjoyed the Lonesome Dove movie.And after watching it we immediately wanted to own it.This movie was wonderful and fascinating.It was just as good as Lonesome Dove.Which you rarely see these days.This is a prequel and the actors did a great job playing younger versions of the main characters in Lonesome Dove.We really enjoyed this movie.If you like westerns and loved Lonesome Dove you will really love this movie too.Read full review...

Love the acting....great roles well palyed.

What can you say it's another great western...a keeper.
I love anything Val Kilmer does and he was amazing in this role. Beautiful scenery and sunsets.
