Feels Like a Movie!!!
The gameplay in 'Condemned' is pretty much limited to a 1st person fighting game but the great story and the creepy effects in the game make this one heck of a ride. There are guns but are rarely found. There are so many places bad guys can pop out you will always be on your toes. Sometimes beating down bad guys can get repetitive but when stuff happens like a guy breaking through a door with an axe when you were just about to open it, the game feels worth any tediousness you might deal with. Controls are really solid for a 1st person game. You really get the sense you are beating someone senseless. There is also a CSI element to the game where you get to search for clues. CAREFUL not to let the kids get hold of this one parents!!! Too much blood and brutality for anyone but adults to play this game. The graphics are amazing and each level has such a super creepy atmosphere with different maniacs prowling around. The story has quite a few twists and turns and you may even come to doubt your own character's sanity. This is a must play and a good pickup for any horror fan. 4/5Read full review...
Condemned: Criminal Origins (PC Games)
It's a really good game I tend to use GameSpot.com for my gaming reviews and if the game receives a 7.5 rating and above in the user's reviews I will try to purchase it. What I like about it is that it's different from most FPS games it's not just long range wepons you can use 2x4's, pipes, rebars and every now and then you find a shootgun or a pistol it has that DOOM 3 feel to it, it's very dark and you depend on a flashlight to see around to look for forensic evidence and the story line carrys you along bottom line it's a fun game to playRead full review...
Condemned
Condemened is an excellent first person Horror game on the PC. It is a bit of a murder mystery, criminal investigation game as well. The game has excellent graphics, with a film grain for effect, quite effective I might add, and some challenging battles as well. The game continues its story into condemned 2 which is also unfinished, and has left its fans waiting for more. I think this game is vastly under-hyped, deserving much more credit than it has garnered for masterful use of action, horror, drama, and playability. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a little unconfortable fright in their gaming like System Shock 2 or Silent Hill. Great game overall.Read full review...
A great game horror game that keeps you on your toes!
In all honesty, this is one of the greater horror games that I have played. It's a half-detective, have beat-the-pulp-out-of-people game that you don't want to put down. A great storyline helps fuel the gameplay (which, I must add, is NOT for kids at all. Do NOT pick this game up for your children. Lots of blood and lots of violence are involved). While the game is a FPS, it isn't at the same time. Most of your weapons include 2 x 4, pipes, electric conducts, axes, and the sort. All of these weapons have different styles of using them against your foes, and you will need to rely on those weapons more than any guns you will find, as ammo is very, VERY limited. It is a worthy addition to any horror fans list, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great action game, and a few scares along the way.Read full review...
Good title if you want a cheaper FPS
The graphics in this game are very good, the lighting and effects are good, overall sets a mood of suspense during the gameplay.
Gameplay is average, some people may not enjoy the puzzle side of this game when you have to search for clues etc. But saying that, the game moves well, and the storyline is interesting.

Different and challening
Very good atmosphere. Can be a little tough if you want try and go all out. You really have to manage your weapons and be very cautious while playing. Not your run & gun type of game. this game had me from the start...great story....great graphics.....and its huge.....no more 3-4 days and be done with a game.....i highly recomend this !!!!
