2 good sifis movies for 1 price.

Contact was a great movie with real good special effects.Sphere was also good but dragged at times.Could have had a better alien & story line but still was a ok sifi movie.

This movie really makes one think about life and whether or not to believe in God. Many are skeptics, but many still have faith. Things happen for a reason. Trying to get others to believe without seeing is the difficult part. Even scientists can believe if they allow themselves to think that everything is not always black and white. I liked this movie because a definite non-believer who couldn't understand how others could believe has trouble convincing others when she finds the truth. This would be a great movie for a science class or a teenage/adult bible education class.Read full review...

This double feature DVD is an excellent value. Contact was an excellent movie with a fine plot, great actors and excellent special effects. The movie had a personal story in addition to the science fiction aspects. I would recommend this movie. Sphere was also excellent with a superb cast and a great story line. 2(Two) movies for the price of one. Both rather connvoluted, with unsatisfactory endings. Jodie Fosters' in "Contact" her acting always kinda makes me feel like she is asking "why am I here?" Always lost & forlorn trying to find her way both on & off screen, maybe that is the hook for me always trying to help the misplaced kitten. Its good to see Sharon Stone without the sex scenes. The tension between her & Hoffman could have been explained some other way.Read full review...
