Super simple and easy to use with great results,

This is my first action camcorder so I was looking for something simple and easy to use as I'm a newbie. I feel I made a great choice with this unit as it is simple to use without hours of reading a how to manual. Video quality is very good to excellent and does an excellent job keeping up with light changes. Sound quality could be improved upon as it picks up wind noise at times and less external sounds unless they are near by. Everybody who has seen my footage is amazed at the quality so I couldn't be happier considering the ease of use. A nice bonus is it is waterproof to one meter without an additional waterproof case which helps keep the bulk down. I give it a solid 8.5 out of 10, maybe even a 9.Read full review...

Not bad for its price.

It has many good properties of action camera: full HD video support, good form, wide angle lens 170°.
But it has a lot of negatives: max 25fps, camera's mount made of fragile plastic and it is easy to break it, also there were only two mount iside the box.

Ease of use is a winner!

I bought this for my bike after a an accident. A driver had cut me off and I had to take him to court to get damages. If I had one of these on the bike then, there would have been no arguement when we got to court.
The camera is great. Very easy to use and download files, and small enought to mount anywhere. I now also use it in my car and when I go shooting.
Although bigger than a GoPro, the price won me over and the fact you can rotate the lens is an added bonus. I'm very happy with it.

Great video and really simple to use

This was a great little camera. The rotating lens and included roating mount were great. The unit itself is beautiful brushed alloy. It has super simple operation with one huge on/off switch. The video is great - looks beautiful in 1080p with minimal rolling shutter jello.

While it was super easy to use with just on/off, it does require plugging into a computer to adjust any settings - so catch 22. It also has a sealed battery so you can't change it once one is flat or if the battery goes dodgy. For those reasons 'ease of use & battery' suffered as there is not other category in this review layout.

Gret product, value for money and very simple to use.

I purchased this product to use during trips on my motorcycle but has also been used for many other things, pushbike riding, kids on skateborads etc. The best thing about this camera is it is very simple to use, is small and when it is mounted on a helmet is doesn't stand out too much. I have found the footage and sound quality to be excellent and the software used to get the videos onto the computer is also very simple. One of the downsides is that you need to plug it into a computer to make many of the changes to the settings but I have found once you get them right then there is no need to keep fiddling with it. One button record / Off is the best and it is easy to use with gloves on. It can also be mounted on either side of the helmet or on top because you can rotate the lense so the footage is always the right way up. I prefer this over the Go Pro mainly because of its simplicity, I just want to have it there ready to use when I need it and not to have to mess around with it too much, I have heard that the Go Pro footage is better and there are more things you can do with it (Editing & Accessories) but I have found that this camera is perfect for what I want to do with it.Read full review...

Excellent camera

Got to use it for the first time this weekend. Pretty decent battery life. Went through two memory cards and still got life left in the camera

Excelent action camera, not need for software (just plug it in and it shows as a drive) simple operation, sturdy, waterproof even without the watercase, ...you cannot do better for that money.

True Colors are captured, so its easier when editing videos in a professional video editing software, without the hassle of fighting to edit colors as with the GOpro altered RBG color model.

Downside: Sound is like if you are in a box, but not that bad for a waterproof camera.Read full review...

BUY IT!!!!

I purchased this camera so that we could take it snorkeling, scuba diving, use it on the kayaks when fishing, in the pool or when we go skiing.

It was really designed for outdoor or use in action sports with the ability to wear the camera, on a headband, helmet, pole or something else, to capture action video and stills.

It meets everyone of these needs and more albeit in a little bit of a "clunky" package that is a little unintuitive to operate.Read full review...

DON'T TRY AND BE A PRO

I bought two Contour cameras I liked them so much. One GPS and this Roam. Why, because the year before I bought two GoPro's and after 3 days of snowboarding I never recorded one frame!
Tiny buttons making it impossible to operate on the chairlift, even smaller display making it very hard to read.. The only way I could tell if it was on was the little red light, asking my friend on the chair all 3 days is the red light on?? He replied yes and off we went. All 3 days it failed me and when it did finally work the resolution was really poor..
My friend had the Contour so I went out and decided not to be a Pro and be someone who "works" with the ease of the one big switch and beep you're on and one big switch and double beep you're off.. How easy is that? The video quality is awesome etc etc etc.. I love them both..Read full review...

Perfert product

Excellent Product. Has been easy and fun to use. The product battery life is good. I have used it for an entire day of skiing and had no problem. If you do have a problem just turn it off when not used and start it before your run. Even worked well in cold temperatures. Would recommend the product.Read full review...
