K'Naan follow-up diverse ensemble will ultimately satisfy the fan base.

It was a long wait since the amazing release "Troubadour". I really didn't expect the same depth and brilliance this time, but I wanted the CD primarily for the radio hits, most notably "Hurt Me Tomorrow". I was surprised it was a different version than was played on Sirius/XM, and would have preferred to have more versions (as was done last time with "Wavin' Flag").

On the first several listens, the first four tracks were a serious disappointment, but I really enjoyed tracks 5-8 and stayed with it, so now rate it as a solid effort as a whole. The collaborations with the A-List guest artists were mostly disappointments to me, except for Nelly Furtado and NAS, but I am impressed by the following K'Naan seems to have in the industry.
