Courtyard Hounds - Not So Good

There are only a few songs that I actually like..including See You In Spring, Gracefully, Aint No Son, and sometimes It Didn't Make A Sound and Fear Of Wasted Time.

The rest of the album sounds pretty much the same..there is no variation in instruments between one song to the next. Emily's voice isn't as strong as Natalie's while she does a superb job on Aint No Son, I feel that the album could have been much better than the final result.

The lyrics are all great, and good job to Emily and Martie for writing such great songs..but the songs could have more passion and be sung and played alot better!

Still glad I got the album, its amazing to see how much Natalie actually influenced the group especially with her voice!

fantastic and new.... definately different than the chicks!

Wonderful. If you buy this cd expecting to hear the Court Yard Hounds, you will love it. If you buy it hoping they sound like the chicks, you'll be sorely disappointed. They are a new band, with a new and wonderful sound.Read full review...
