One of the best shows on t.v.

One thing that I cannot do is compare CSI NY to the other CSI series. I've been watching CSI NY from the beginning but have never seen an episode from any of the other CSI shows. Guess its not necessary since they are only related in title and the category of crime drama. What I can say, however, is that I really enjoy the New York series and that is why I decided to purchase it. This is coming from someone who does not exactly buy a lot of box sets -- uh, mostly because they are so costly. It was well worth the price though (alright, so I waited until I could get a more reasonable price on Amazon.)

All of the cast members do a good job overall but it is really Gary Sinise and Melinda Kanakaredes who really make this show work. There is a definite chemistry between their two characters and they portray an excellent crime solving team. Difficult to pick a single favorite episode since I really do like all of them. No corny dialogue here, just good acting and interesting stories. Nice packaging and an entire disc of extras are also included. A lot of people buy DVDs for the extras and its always a disappointment when none are included. No disappointment here though. Already looking forward to purchasing season two.Read full review...

BEST CSI EVER

CSI New York has the best actting of all the CSI's. Also its in NY so you know the settings good. It has really awesome stories like in the other csi's they sorta tell you what happend. This one you have to really pay attention and be really observent which is fun. Its not to the point where if you miss 5 mins you can pick it up but its not obvious either. So in conclusion this is a great tv show and I love having it on DVD because I can watch it whenever with great picture quality.Read full review...

Each episode lives up to my high expectations.....so many things to look at and understand that seeing them over and over is never boring or redundant to me...

The Best CSI: out there!

I watch all of the CSI's and NY is my favorite. The thing I like most is they don't have a lot of the side crap. Miami has got so bad that half the show is about the case and the other is about anything and everything but, what they are they are working on. Las Vegas has gotten that bad as well. NY has a little story about some of the people but, they keep it real and quick just giving the viewer a little background on the characters. I like that. Most of the show is about the case. I enjoyed

At first I didn't think I was gonna accept CSI: New York. (Since I enjoyed the Las Vegas cast so much) After watching the first DVD of the 7, I realized that New York didn't seem so scripted as Las Vegas and was even better. The cast fits perfectly into the New York set. (Most of them grew up/lived there in real life) So they all have the New York accent. There is humor and in depth analysis of the characters, and not just the same old, examine evidence and solve the crime.Read full review...

Wonderful spin off

Though it is hard to ever beat an original series, the spin-offs of CSI-Vegas give it all they've got. CSI-NY has a more darker and grittier nature than either Vegas or Miami. To me it seems that all the characters in NY are slightly more developed than the other CSI. While Vegas will always be my favorite, NY is coming in a very close second.
