You can skip it, unless your a Warlord.

Ehh, honestly. The only class that gets any good boost from this book is the Warlord. Every other class is better off sticking with the PHB1 info or Martial Powers 2. For a powers book this was quite lack luster in comparison to the other Powers books, especially the Primal powers.Read full review...

The problem with 4th edition

The problem with this version of D&D is that everyone is made to be almost exactly the same, no matter what character or type you're playing.

This represents the bare, basic, limited attempt to begin to correct this. This book is useful if you've purchased Arcane, Divine, and Primal power, as a nice but early addition, but generally, they're not much help to the real player.

Fair amount of solid skills.

I'm not going to go into great detail, but it has many more options for a number of the core classes. I got exactly what I expected. The skills are all pretty balanced and interesting.
