The STANDARD!
I've had my 5000 Accelerator for many years. All original parts and it still feels great...just bought another used one...same vintage...90s.
Built like a tank and super reliable! I very rarely have to adjust the spring tension or anything else. The Accelerator is not only quick but very sensitive to dynamic playing. Goes from quiet, controlled heel down technique to gonzo, full on stomping rock technique with no issues. Heel up, too! It takes a beating and stays where you set it!
Can't say enough good things! DW had been the standard pedal in the industry for years...for a very good reason! Even players who endorse different brands of drums continue to use DW pedals! I also use a DW hat stand as well. Same one for years! Great!Read full review...

DW 9002 extended footboard.
I have used DW pedals for 30 years. Before that I used Rodgers Swivomatic. My first double pedal was the 5000. I recently sold it for the 9002. Much faster, much smoother, and a real hoot to play. Easy setup and tear down. Easy to adjust with the multifaceted key. Highly recommend this pedal for semi pro and pro players who need or want the feel of double bass drums without the extra bass drum in the kit.
