Not Her Best

Mary Kay Andrews (Trocheck) has not outdown herself by any means in this rather redundant novel. Every one of her other books eg. "Savannah Blues" really grabs you and pulls you in. You are not just a reader but a fly on the wall in the room. This story set in a peculiar setting of a contrived competition for a cooking show goes on and on about mundane cooking substitutions and network ratings. You have to remind yourself that you really enjoyed all the others and sooner or later she will get on with it and weave an interesting tale. Would leave this one off a list of recommended readings.Read full review...
