Amazing Optiplex 780

This little Optiplex is amazing. Granted it does not have the power of a full fledged gaming machine but I have several gaming machines already. When it arrived, the hard drive was disconnected so it was a simple thing to hook it up. To my surprise, this 780 just flies. The appearance is outstanding. It looks brand new, save a few scrapes on the cover. There is a lot of room inside the case so air flow should be good.

Slow and erratic.

Just set this up last week for my sister. I had many problems, some not relater to the PC, some maybe were. I will have her call her "guru" this week and see if he can analyze it better. It is slow for ??? reason. Microsoft Edge will not load properly - the pages will blank and return two or three times, then give an error message. Looks brand new!

The unit appears and functions as brand new in every way. Not even a speck of dust inside the unit. Could not be happier.

The unit was shipped with Microsoft Vista installed instead of Microsoft Windows 10. That does not matter. I will be using a different OS anyway.

I need an XP Computer to run an Old Program.

I need an XP computer so that I can load Microsoft VisualC++6.0 on the computer and it works. VisualC++6.0 will not work on Windows 7 or later operating system. On 990 CPU i5-2400 runs XP ok. i5-2500 crashes on XP.

The i5-2400 CPU will run XP Pro just fine. No problem. However, the i5-2500 will NOT run XP. Gets blue screen and shut down.
