Saved laptop!

The Dell XPS 13 (L321X) Ultrabook laptop has a design weakness in which the screen is connected to the keyboard with a tiny physical cable containing VERY tiny wires that are stressed each time the screen is opened and closed. With time, they suffer from metal fatigue and start to break, which progressively renders the laptop unusable. (The new Dell laptops use a wireless connection between the keyboard and screen, except for the power supply to the screen, which prevents this type of failure.) Although it took a bit of work with a small screwdriver to replace the screen, it saved the expense and hassle of buying and configuring a new laptop. These screens are no longer available from Dell, but eBay came to the rescue!Read full review...
