Take note of Al Pacino's speech at the end, it all comes down to free will. Characters are hauntingly realistic! Great take on law and religion!

This is one of my top favorites. I normally don't watch even a good movie more than once but I saw it at least 5 times before I ordered it and will watch it many more. Al Pacino's performance is awesome. Don't know who could play the devil better! The end scene includes a monologue by him I could listen to over and over - it is extremely well written and performed. Watch it if you enjoy Pacino's extended tirades

I wouldn't have watched the film if it hadn't been for Al Pacino. He delivers, as always. In particular, what he delivers is a bit of satisfaction for those of us who are too intelligent to buy into religious mythologies, in the form of edgy sarcasm about how insufferably banal the entirety of Christian dogma really is. While the film itself is woven together in a patchwork of Christian dogma and pseudo-dogma, Pacino is mocking "belief" from the inside out.Read full review...
