better guards are available for the DRZ

It doesn't have as much side impact protection as other guards for the DRZ. It has mounting points to the frame in front of the radiators but nothing mounting behind the radiators. So a side impact, even pressing lightly, causes the guards to pivot backwards at their front mounting points. I did not test this (just based on lightly pressing the guards when they were mounted) but I feel like a low speed fall would cause the guards to bend rearwards and completely fold the radiators. That said, the shrouds would stabilize the guards against this a little bit but they are just plastic. These guards are better than nothing but there are better products out there for similar money.Read full review...
