A Native New Mexican Dinosaur

I purchased this book because I am thinking of writing a pre-school age focused book on Coelophysis. My 2 1/2 yr old grandson, called out, "Oh, Nana! Look! Baby dinosaur!" when he saw the life-sized recreation of Coelophysis at the Albuquerque Natural History Museum. This burst of recognition and joy is my inspiration for writing a Coelo story that little ones can understand.

The illustrations in "Dinosaur Ghosts" are wonderful and convey a sense of mystery, animation and a world of long ago. The text details the various ways in which this group of coelophyses met their end and are plausible and coherent with current paleontological thinking.

I look forward to sharing "Dinosaur Ghosts" with my grandson when he is older. This book will server as an inspiration to me in designing and presenting my own, much more simplified, story of our own New Mexico treasure.
