Would recommend to others, good value for price!
I like the plug and play feature of this player. We took it out of the box, plugged in the cords, hung them on the backs of our seats and put in a DVD and we were off and running.
I dislike the actual plug that goes into the cigarette lighter. Every time I shift and or bump the cord it resets the player and the DVD starts all over. When you shut off the car it shuts off the player, very frustrating at times.
Overall we like the player, we bought it for a trip for the Holidays and it played almost continuously for the 45 hours we were on the road. Absolutely no hiccups besides the easiness of disconnection.
We decided to buy this one mainly due to price and prior reviews. Other players received much worse reviews than this one.Read full review...
PEICE OF JUNK!!
Do not Buy!! Piece of junk!! DOESNT HAVE BATTERY HAS TO BE PLUGGED IN TO WORK!! I PERSONALLY BOUGHT ONE THE REMOTE DIDNT WORK THE SECOND SCREEN RIPPLED AND DIDNT WORK !!

Terrible Terrible Terrible, August 23, 2008
This unit has been a curse for me for a year now. We bought the first one before an 8 hr trip to a family reunion. It was a last minute purchase & we didn't test it first. BIG MISTAKE. It wouldn't even read the dvd. After the trip we returned it to Target & they exchanged it for a new unit assuming it was a fluke. Well we got about 4 months out of that one. The speaker on one of the headsets started to crackle & eventually quit all together. I contacted the disney folks via the email listed in the instruction booklet & was informed that they would do nothing about it. I was out of my exchange period ( only 3 months ) at Target & the manager at Disney that I spoke to literally just blew me off. After several battles back & forth I finally took it to Target & spoke with a manager who advised that so many of these come back all for the same reasons. She exchanged out the old machine for a new one & unfortunately out of the box there's no sound again. Again I went to the store today & was informed by their electronics person that this is a no name company that makes very poor products. He said he would never be able to exchange it for a machine that would last more than a couple of months. Basically eat the cost & go with another company. Ugh!! Don't waste your money like I did! We purchased this unit at Target last month. Fortunately we tried it out at home before leaving on a long road trip. It worked great... for about 45 seconds! Then the main screen went to static and we smelled a strong electrical smell. We brought it back to Target and received a full refund. We expected that Disney would only put their name on a quality prodoct, but sadly we were wrong! Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

Must Be Plugged In To Work :(, July 16, 2008
I just bought this DVD player at target like an hour ago. I came home and started reading the reviews and i'm going to return it! I bought this DVD player for my two year old boy/girl twins. I am taking them on a four hour airplane trip & thought it would be great for each of them to be able to hold their own screen so there would be no fighting, but....there is no battery pack so it has to be plugged in for it to work! I thought about just keeping it for the car but it sounds like a piece of junk :( I too was not offered the extended warranty. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

Excellent compact portable dual screen DVD player
So far, this is an excellent product. I had bought my son dual screen DVD players in the past, directly from Target and they lasted for about 3 months, hardly worth the money. These dual screen DVD players from Disney are great, easy to place in the car, simply by putting the elastic over the headrest. The picture is extremely clear and all of the buttons on the player and the remote are easy to use. The dual screens can click into each other (screens in) for travel outside of the car, making it great to travel with (to take into a rental car, etc.).
What is particularly great is that the product comes with two headsets. They are not the best quality headsets, but with two little kids, that is probably a good idea as breakage of anything they handle is pretty common. My son particuarly likes the fact that they are "Disney" DVD players.
Although I have only had the player for a couple of months, they are an excellent buy, especially for someone that cannot afford to have DVD player/s installed directly in their car.Read full review...
LOVE IT!!
I got this for an early Christmas present for my 6 year old and 2 year old kids. My two year old has trouble with trip's longer than an hour. I have the main system on the seat in front of my 6 year and the extra monitor on the seat in front of my 2 year old. My 6 year old handles changing the movies out etc. It is working out great for us. The picture quality and sound are awesome. When the kids plug up and put on the headsets, my husband and I can't hear a thing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a built in system in their vehicle.Read full review...
A good buy for kids
I have had this since last christmas and thank god! It has been great for my 2 boys in the car. Works very well, clear image, easy controls. Only downside is all the cables to connect them and the power, but expect it with these types of portable car players.Read full review...
Poor Sound Quality
I was sooo wanting this DVD player to work. I have 2 little grandsons and have to travel long distances with them. I wanted the volume to be louder than what they are, without having to use headphones. My youngest grandson, age 2, is called Bam-Bam for a very good reason, and I don't want him to tear up the headphones. Otherwise, the player is pretty neat. Disney Portable DVD Player
We bought it for a cross country road trip (2800 miles) so it was used a lot in a short period of time. It worked great. My biggest criticism is when the two halves are clicked together there isn't a place for the wires so by the end of the trip you end up having a ball of wires.Read full review...

I like this item because it convenience for us on travel,this dual screen dvd player can calm my 2 boys on a long distance drive.Just the fuse in the DC power cord is burned out and we can't find one to replace it.Therefore, we have to buy a new DC power cord with adapters.Read full review...

The kids love it and it is very convenient to take in the car! It definitely helps with the long car rides. disney dvd porable player
This is a great product. We wnt on vaction and used the dvd players. It was great having two screens and the picture quality was great. Would buy this item again and again.
