Good memorable game.

Remember playing this game back in the day, it was one of those "must have" type game. I haven't gotten thru it entirely but from the time i did have it, it was pretty fun, the story was cool but what i didn't like was this one didn't really have voice acting as the Epic Mickey 2 did, would have been cool to see. The controls sometimes get wonky and when you go up again let's say one of those corrupted Ink Mopping brooms it's sometimes hard to aim at them.Read full review...

Hate this game

Nothing wrong with the seller I bought it from, I just hated this game! The longest cut-scenes ever! Bought it for my 6 y/o to play and she couldn’t even sit through the opening story (like, 30 minutes) to begin playing the actual game till she got bored and switched back to Minecraft!Read full review...

Good game (not great) for a 39 and 5-year-old kid!

While not the most exciting game in the world, Epic Mickey will keep your younger kids entertained. My 5-year-old and I rented this game a few months back, and he really got into playing it. I decided to go ahead and buy it, since the price was reasonable. I enjoy laying back on the couch and letting my mind slip out of gear and play before I head to bed.

There are a couple of negatives to the game, however. I have problems with the camera angle (how you view Mickey) during gameplay. Normally, the camera stays behind Mickey as you run, jump or do whatever Mickey has to do. If need be, the camera angle can be changed using the arrow key on the top of the Wii remote. Sometimes, however, the camera angle goes crazy and sits off to the side or in a really useless spot on the screen and can't be corrected with the remote. While I just have to run around a little to reset the angle, it's still a pain. The second is that at times, there seems to be no real direction to the game. Different quests keep popping up and most can be figured out easily, but some quests just don't yield an easy answer. On top of that, I don't think that all quests have to be completed to finish the game. No smooth path to finish the game.

All in all, however, I very much enjoy the game and will add it to my stack of Wii games that I probably won't sell to Game Stop any time in the near future (might even just keep it for good!).

Mickey's quest

I really like the action of this game even though it use a few less blotlings in some area's of the game. I think that almost all of the toons in this game are amazing. They may be old toons but it is great to see a lot of old faces, Some new faces, and some faces I never even knew that they thought up like animatronic Daisy, Donald, and Goofy. I like to rent video games to see if I like them and I really like this game. The side quests also help in the game with the money, the extra's, and the up grades help out a lot in the game. I think they could have gone without the pipe organ thought. I think with as hot as epic mickey is that Disney should come up with a sequel to epic mickey and set it up so that there are two hero's instead of just one, kinda like a team of two working together as one. I think that it would be equally as amazing.Read full review...

Miska, Must have

In general is a good game, has a fun gamplay that mixes well with story being told in it. Is what you could call an Spyro clon, you go around colorfull solving everyonas problems so they can help you out with your problem. These part sure are a bit slow, but they mostly followed up with light plathforming and some enemies here and there. The appeal is mostly on the magic brush, having the options to disolve or paint blue an enemy so it can help you to fight is really fun, frustating at times do to the camera angles but that's for every game on the Wii tbh.

The part were this game shine the most is in the 2D sections, the appear when you are traveling from a portal to another, backtracking might be a bit boring because of it, but is not that bad. Theay also are hiden sections to collect old videos, i assume thet are short films, i just collected them didn't watched what they were.

This game is a good addition to any collection in my opinion.

An excellent game

I was hesitant at first to try epic mickey, the game is fairly old, it was made by Disney and the controls seemed a little too simple. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out the game was funny, it referenced lots of older, generally forgotten characters and is a game with great replay value. Most games are beaten once and forgotten but this game I will certainly play two or three times.Read full review...

Fun and easy to grasp

Fun little game, with a few minor issues, but creative and enjoyable if you like Disney.

Good overall game

My ten year old loves it. He had epic Mickey the power of two when he was eight and still plays it and had to have this game and enjoys it just as much, even being its predecessor.

Truly "Epic"

The game was amazing! Just the concept of it was compelling enough. But the main reason I got this, Oswald. The graphics are amazing with some of the best storytelling I have seen on a Wii game. The camera is the only problem I have with the game, its SO DIFFICULT to get it to move with Mickey sometimes. But other than that, it was amazing to remember these "forgotten" characters of the Disney history. This is truly the most "epic" game I have ever played. But I can't say the same for the sequel.Read full review...
