District Nine - great action movie

You need to be patient and last throught the first person point of view which last half of the movie, that's when things start to get good. This a great action movie with a touch of some of the best technology insight I've ever seen. Please read before watching... HORRIBLE

My husband picked this one. He always picks the worst movies. He's grounded from picking for a while due to this movie, it was my last straw. He and I both agreed that if I had not rented it from RedBox, and spend lots of money at a theater I would have left the movie half way through and demanded my money back. It sucked! I and my hubby hated so much that we told everyone we knew about how dumb it was.

It as almost like watching a B rated film. I couldn't believe it was up for a few awards, I was like seriously?

South African sleeper

Great sleeper from South Africa. Stranded aliens forced to live in shanty towns, strict laws governing their freedoms, media generated discrimination and ridicule, a story of how we repress and distress anyone who is different. All of this presented to us from the perspective of the government assigned liason who reports on the condition of the alien encampments.

Sci-Fi the way it should be!

Being a fan of sci-fi/monster films, I was glad that a movie of my favorite genre was actually nominated for an Oscar. I rented the DVD and was overjoyed with the plot, humor, and the very good special effects, so I bought the Blu-ray copy, which was excellent. This movie just rocks. Its a fresh new take on the Sci-Fi genra thats been in a dire need of something new. Looking at it you couldnt tell it was a low budget, but this movie is hands down just great! Its also a great looking High Def movie. Forget Avatar.
