Not as great as the first game, but still fun

Donkey Konga is a blast, especially for multiplayer. If you have four pairs of bongos, my friends and I found out that you can yell on cue instead of clap since the microphone just picks up noise at that time. Unfortunately, I found the song selection on the Donkey Konga 2 disk to be much less entertaining than the first game, but there are still a decent number of jams for you to bang the fun out of those bongos. The drum controller itself is high quality and works fine. I am not sure I would recommend this game since the songs aren't that great but maybe it's just my personal preference. The original Donkey Konga is definitely worth the money though, especially if you play with friends (You would need to invest in multiple DK Bongo controllers though).Read full review...

Donky Konga 2 is tons of fun for youth groups!

I have a Youth Group that loves video games. I decided to start getting games that draw in the non-traditional video gamer. I started with Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, which was great, but only one person could play at a time. I like getting games that are multiplayer so that the kids can play together and fellowship at the same time. So, Donkey Konga 2's 4 player setup is perfect!

It's not a game that I personally would replay many times (due to repetitiveness) but it is wonderful for the youth group. I highly recommend it for groups or parties.Read full review...

Awesome Game

We love to play this game because we get together with a group of friends and just laugh as everyone tries to play! It's hilarious trying to keep the beat. We try to play the hardest boards and just end up luaghing so hard that we both get poor scores! It's great. We had played Donkey Konga 1, so we were expecting it to be similar, and it was. The one thing we don't like about it is we don't know all of the songs, so we were lost as to what to choose, as far as songs go. It's still flippin' hilarious! The beat goes on with Donkey Konga 2 ...and on...and on

The most interactive game for the GameCube system. You play the bongos in a left hand, right hand, clap to the beat challenge. It is for your hands what the DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION is to the feet. Tons of fun for all ages. Lot of songs to choose from. Well worth the price of the game this one will get used over and over again. Highly recommended.

Excellent game for the whole family and less expensive then Wii games.

Even though the game is a couple of years old it is still one of the best family games we've had for a while. Not only did we used it with our Game Cube, but as soon as we found out you are able to connect and play the game on the Wii system it is a non-stop family time at nights with this game. I really recommend the game for young kids. It has some focusing skills, memory and physical stimulation. If you think about it, Game Cube games can save you money since you can play them on Wii. The second time is better than the first...

I bought this game because I wanted more to bang my drums to. This sequal turned out to be better than the first! The selection of songs is more hip and popular and you get to keep using all the stuff you unlocked in the first game if you have a game save on you memory card from Donkey Konga (1). Makes Grumpy Gorillas Happy!

Our kids love this game! They are 9, 7, 5, and 2 years old!
the kids love the battle mode, and also the concert mode which allow you to play with four players. WE have four sets of Bongos and the fun never ends.

Our kids love playing the concert mode and raking up the points so they can open new Songs. They love the All Star song from Shrek move and Hilary Duff song, and othe song they recognize! It is fun to see who is average ape, chimp champ,the masterful monkey, or who can be Lord of the Bongos! Onc you have been ranked you can choose a character to be. You can also open up new sounds for your Bongos and choose different sounds for them before you begin your new gsong.

This is a hit with us for family time because it can have up to four players simultaneously! Helps with rythmn, hand eye co-ordination, and tracking for visual acuity! Great something so fun can be good for them. Enjoy!We do!Read full review...

GOOD GAME. MY SON LOVES IT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ITEM TO ANYONE WHO HAS YOUNG KIDS WITH A GAMECUBE SYSTEM. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ALREADY HAVE THE BONGO DRUM ATTACHMENT FOR THE SYSTEM AS THEY DO NOT COME WITH THIS PARTICULAR GAME. ONLY DRAWBACK FOR PARENTS IS IT CAN GET NOISY WHEN THEY ARE PLAYING WITH IT. AWESOME GAME

MY KIDS ENJOY THE GAME. THE MUSIC IS CURRENT IT FEATURES ARTIST LIKE USHER, MARY J BLIGE. THEY ARE HOOKED ON IT. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT FOR KIDS AGES 8-11. ITS A WAY TO KEEP THEM ENTERTAINED EVEN ADULTS CAN JOIN IN WITH THE FUN. ITS A GOOD WAY TO BRING THE FAMILY CLOSE AND SHARE A SPECIAL TIME TOGETHER.
