Why John Flynn's Dbl Wedding Ring is the way to go...
Every quilter knows that the Double Wedding Ring pattern is the most daunting of all. It can take forever to complete and the cutting of each little piece takes too much time and the chance for accuracy drops with every little piece. John Flynn has taken all the work out of making this quilt and leaves you to enjoy choosing the colors with his wonderfully simple method. It's not like some of the other easier methods where the arcs are just cut off to make it work, this is the real deal. John uses strip piecing to make his arcs and with his angle sewing method, it's foolproof! This workbook gives you all the information you need to make your heirloom quilt a success. He also gives you the information to make many different sizes of rings. I am making my second quilt using this workbook and recommend it to every quilter.Read full review...
John Flynn's Double Wedding Ring Workbook
I loved the way this book gave instruction for each step of the quilt process. It had wonderful pictures of how each section of the quilt should look. I would very much give this book a high score for the information and ease with which I made the Double Wedding Ring Quilt. I bought this book hoping that it would be simple instructions for a complicated Quilt and I was very pleased with what I bought.Read full review...

This kit assumes that you will be machine piecing. I guess most folks machine piece, but I still look forward to hand piecing. So, the kit didn't include the template for the blocks in the ring. These pieces were created in strips and then sewn again to create the right shape. I was able to convert into means to hand piece, but would have preferred to have the additional template for the blocks.Read full review...
