Review of Eileen Folk's book on Miniature Cross Stitch

This is a really neat book, if any of you out there are "hesitating" I assure you it is well worth the money you will pay, It has 64 charts in it. You can do either cross stitch OR needlepoint with most of the designs. Almost everything in the book has a color photo so you know what the finished project will look like, there were "just a few" not photographed.

She tells you exactly what materials to buy, how many strands of what type of thread or yarn to use, etc. I decided to buy it because I am an avid needlecrafter recently turned miniature artisan, I thought maybe I could make some heirlooms to pass down to my granddaughter. These designs are gorgeous but they are not the type you can "do to make money", the designs are far too time consuming and intricate. So if you are looking for a book of that type then this one is not for you.

I just love it because I especially love "spectacular" little miniatures. Things that are "far beyond the ordinary". Things that make you stop and say, "Oh, Wow!" The projects in this book definitely will do that.

Wonderful book, great ideas to make for doll houses.

I bought this bood to make a little "rug" for my dollhouse. I loved the rug on the cover and wanted to make it. I liked the designs in the book very much. There is nothing I didn't care for. I looked on line and this book seemed to have what I was looking for. Other books had needlepoint designs, but I wanted counted cross stitch and it was just perfect for me.Read full review...
