One of my favorite shows!

This show along with Call the Midwife are definitely my top favorite tv shows ever. Such a great and entertaining series that keeps you entertained throughout the whole series. A Good History Lesson

This series has given insight to historical facts and the way of life for the times. It also gives an understanding of the aristocratic class and the need for them. Now that I have a little more understanding of the titles and the culture, it becomes obvious that the wealthy should be at least given credit for providing employment to people. Although abused at times there is enough information to have a better understanding of the role of the lords and earls that make up the aristocratic class.

I think the actors are actually brilliant. The interaction between the family and their servants is very interesting.

I started watching this when it was over (reruns only) on the UNC Explorer channel. I had to order Seasons 1,2,3,4 to get caught up. Now am watching Monday nights at 8 to the last of it all. Oh, it is marvelous. I wish it would never end. The characters are perfectly casted. Love em all!!! Maggie Smith cracks me up. So funny. The house staff, too....so very talented, all of them. I even like Thomas who can be hard to like at times, but comes across as understandable. He is a very charismatic member and plays his part superbly.
